This bustling restaurant under the silos at Salamanca presents very good seafood, fresh, varied and imaginatively presented. Staff are knowledgeable and hard-working. You can sit out the front and have a drink and watch the sunset. Welcoming and really very good quality food.

Our last night and a treat to ourselves. Located near the Salamanca precinct. Great service, packed for a Monday night. My tiger prawns and avocado was delicious; hubby had 'the Lot' - a selection of fish, scallops, squid and prawn dumpling. Nothing left on his plate so assuming it was pretty good. Finished off with lemon breule and affagatto for... More

We booked at the last minute.. guided by good reviews. And we ere not disappointed. The food was simple and fresh and prepared quickly. The restaurant was full but maintained good atmosphere and not too loud..there are i negatives.. 2 of. Had three courses, good local wine and we were out in 2 hours. Definitely pleased we went .

We were staying in the Grand Chancellor Hobart, and the food options around the hotel seemed to be either take away fish and chips, or quite pricey restaurants. We found Blue Eye on TripAdvisor. Great! Lovely chowder, lovely fish pie, plus other menu items we didn't get a chance to try. And to really top off the positives, BYO. We... More

We went here for a birthday dinner after reading reviews and were glad we'd booked well in advance. The place was humming on a Friday night and from our table in the corner of the big picture windows we saw many hopeful people being turned away because they were fully booked - and full, from early evening. The food was... More

Had an early dinner here with my husband. The service was very quick and friendly. Our fish was very good and I had a local pear cider. Very nice.
