Tom Ryan-Brook is a really good chef, he made me some yummy food! Can you tell him Liam Anderson-Huria enjoyed the meal and would love to come again.

Had dinner there with visiting family members, ordered a pizza and pasta. The food was tasty enough and service ok. Standard pub grub!

We made a late booking for Tuesday 5th July for 2 people. We were delighted to hear that we could be squeezed in. We didn't realise that there was a Blues Club night occurring so the place was very busy. We stood at the bar for 10/15 minutes waiting to let staff know that we had arrived and to find... More

Had an absolutely delicious Tasmanian mushroom risotto here. One of the best I have tasted. The vegetarian pizza was also a hit. Would highly recommend this restaurant for vegetarians. The desserts were massive, tasty and well priced. Staff friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced.

Flew in from Melbourne, did Salamanca market and Mount Wellington and checked into our B&B. The Duke was a short walk down the road and what a find it was! Shared entree of dips and breads was a very pleasant start. Our three mains were all excellent, in taste, presentation and value for money; lamb and rosemary pie, lamb salad... More

Hobart is full of restaurants for Foodies. Sometimes I just want a plate of good well cooked food without the Chef trying too hard with a 'new trend'. Don't get me wrong, the food at The Duke is well presented and very well cooked. I had a ladies lunch at the Duke and we all enjoyed our varied choices of... More

Unsure of where to have dinner on a Saturday night, Sandi and I planned on a few beers at the Duke and then we'd mosey down to Salamanca for a feed. After a couple of drinks time got away from us and we decided to stay put and try the menu. And we were sure glad we did! I ordered... More

On holiday in Australia and meeting up with family members. There were 12 of us and of 3 different generations. Everybody enjoyed their meal choices which were very varied and the evening. Paul really made the evening special by his kindness and suggestions. It was a bit noisy but I’ve noticed this a lot in Australian restaurants.... Very central location... More
