A friend recommended Kenji, and we're so glad they did. Amazing food, beautifully presented, and accompanied by friendly service. I wish there was a six-star rating. We've been told they're closing on 28 January to move to Melbourne. Adelaide's loss will be Melbourne's gain.

Last night for dinner was my first time at this restaurant (which I booked based on Trip Advisor reviews) and it won't be my last. All I can say is as a foodie and a lover of Japanese food that the food was simply fantastic. Some of the dishes were a fusion of Japanese, French and Italian but my husband... More

On all previous visits, I have had the scallops and the Wagyu Beef! They almost have it ready when I arrive, but on this occasion (dinner for 3) we went for the 6 course degustation. They were happy to charge a very reasonable corkage for our 2009 Cristal and 2003 Dom Rose, which went perfectly with the meal. Sensational flavours.... More

Every visit to Adelaide we always make a purpose of visiting. Delicious food, wine and great service. Was quite busy for a Monday night and as usual we had an amazing experience.

Five different main courses and all were excellent. The service was spot on. Staff were discrete but professional and while they never seemed to be hovering they were close enough. One of our group rates the lamb cutlets as the best he has ever eaten. High praise from a person who eats out often. We will go back again and... More

Anne and I flew in to Adelaide for a weekend (to watch the mighty Eagles destroy the hapless Crows. That went sour pretty quick. ;-( We were staying in a B&B off Hutt Street and had no eating plans, but the B&B documentation recommended this restaurant. On Friday arvo we made a booking for Saturday night and, as it turns... More

Ate with a group of three girls, so we shared our food. Menu not what I expected, seems to be a fusion with Italian, buffalo mozzarella was used in some of the dishes. We stared of with vegetable and seafood tempura, it was ok , would have preferred something lighter.notsure what I ate next, some sort of sushi with duck,... More

Sushi and Sashimi not the freshest. Tamago inedible. For a Sushi regular Kenji was the worst experience in Australia. A lost dining experience considering all those great restaurants around.

We visited the restaurant to have a taste of something different. The food is created with passion and is sourced fresh from the central market in Adelaide. If you get an opportunity to talk to the chef, you will be honoured! If Japanese food is to your taste, you'll enjoy this restaurant with relish!

I have returned for a quiet birthday dinner with my wife on a wet Friday night and was greeted by the always warm and smiling wait staff. I was also lucky on the day as the restaurant had managed to acquire cuts of tuna with the prized fatty portions of its belly known as Chutoro (中トロ) and Otoro (大トロ) and... More
