We had no expectations for this restaurant as we'd had no plans about where to eat and had just wandered in off the street but were so impressed. The food was excellent. For starters we had the bruschetta, olives and tomato and mozzarella salad. All were delicious and beautiful. For the main courses we had the ravioli, ragu and pork.... More

This restaurant is one of the latest in Hutt st, Adelaide. The service is polished, the interior is stylish with individual tables not too close to each other, a few tables outside. It offers good quality genuine Italian food at a reasonable price. It is not outstanding but good and seems to be reliable with a bunch a regular guests.... More

The food was good just not great. The service was good just not great. The meals were quite expensive but didn't have the wow factor. Little bit on the small side even for fine dining.

The food here was good - but not exceptional. (We ate here about 9 months ago and it was exceptional). Our food arrived quite quickly. The portions were fairly small so we probably should have ordered a side dish between us. Within one bite, someone came over to ask if we were happy with our meals... we replied that our... More

We dined at Amaro with 4 friends. What a terrific experience. Ursula (owner and now chef) has taken control of the kitchen and the meals were superb. The others had steaks which were perfectly cooked and apparently very tasty. I indulged in the home made Ravioli which was a refreshing change from the "supermarket" variety. Various antipasti dishes were also... More

Wow thank you so much you guys were a hoot. Made my night coming out to say hi. To finally have the restaurant back on track is fabulous news for me. The shortage of good chefs has been a troublesome so i have put myself in this most important position and i am happy how its turning out. I know... More

Amaro Restaurant located at 173 Hutt Street is simply delightful. An Italian restaurant whose cuisine is based upon presenting a contemporary twist on classic Italian food. I personally enjoyed the "Pappardelle al ragu d'agnello e pepperoni" which is a tender duck sauce slowly cooked to produce this succulent and ever so wonderful taste. However sitting in the restaurant watching all... More

Had to wait over an hour for our main courses with no explanation other than "would you like a coffee on the house". Restaurant was not busy.

Bizarre experience here, as we showed up with a reservation for lunch only to find they were setting up for some odd party afterwards. Some bizarre events manager kept getting in the way of us being served in order to deal with the "more important" business of setting up a band and tables, and when our food finally came it... More

We were a party of four and all of us chose the lunch special of main course and a glass of wine for $22. While the food was ok it didn't pack a punch. The service was quite slow although it looked like the person cooking was also serving. The Italian wine was very nice, but overall it was a... More

We have always enjoyed going to Amaro. Food and service was always very good. Unfortunately our last visit was very poor. Service was slack, and the food was very average. We started with the home made bread. We got a slice of dry continental bread with a thimble of oil and balsamic. Next our mains came out and they lacked... More
