This heritage cottage with its outdoor settings as well as indoor was all you could ask for in atmosphere. The food choices were wide enough to satisfy even our fussy eaters. Hot and tasty home-cooking served without too much waiting. Eating while being charmed by local birdlife including some rare species was fantastic. The road to it is in excellent... More

The drive to the tea rooms is very pleasant and parking is easy just out in front. The tea rooms have a very rustic feel and we were delighted to learn that the building is the oldest in FNQ. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning tea on the verandah. It was good value and delivered efficiently. Loved reading the history of... More

Simple meals and snacks served with good coffee in such a relaxing a calming environment. Even though it was very busy and obviously getting more and more popular the meals where served in reasonable time. Nothing gourmet but fresh and enjoyable in the well set up seating under the trees. Great to see so many families of all ages getting... More

These tea rooms take you back in time. Whether you sit inside amongst the antiques or out in the garden, the atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. We enjoyed the pies and scones with very good coffee. The drive home through the Hervey Range is quite beautiful and worthwhile stopping at the lookout point.

Hervey Range Tea Rooms is set in a lovely country feel setting. The surroundings are lovely and attended too with native plants. It looks very well looked after and cared for which is great to see. Could quite easily sit all day and admire the great atmosphere. Will be back soon.

We went to the Tea Rooms today In The mid afternoon and had a lovely time enjoying the beautiful weather and atmosphere of the Tea Rooms. I didn't have time to read up on the history, but intend to find out more! Would definitely go back to this beautiful property! I also loved seeing at least three other tables of... More

I've been reading the complaints from people who are complaining about getting their tea or coffee before their meal, and then when their meal arrives they have drank it. When we order anywhere we always make a point of asking for our tea or coffee after our meal. Looking at the menu I've noticed that it has improved quite a... More

Great location with so much to do. Plenty of room for a family day out with games and fairly garden to entertain the littlest. Food is very good. Would recommend you book if a large group as it is very popular.

We were so excited and really looked forward to having a nice meal at the Harvey range tea rooms, then going for a wander to look at the old railway. To my utter disappointment, I had been to quite a few tea houses in my life and this was the worst. For a busy place, they should invest in giving... More

Thank you for your feedback, we're always looking to improve, and appreciate any customer suggestions. As the Tea Rooms is a heritage listed building (the oldest slab-style building in North Queensland, built in 1865) the "old house" must keep its original facade. This mean we are unable to alter (paint) the building in any way. We recognise that some days... More

Lovely relaxing location with photos and craft shop. Plenty of parking. Friendly service but very, very slow. We waited at least an hour for our lunch. Meals were basic cafe meals, the ham salad was disappointing but the chicken focaccia was very nice.

Thanks Lynn, I wonder if you visited on Tuesday just gone? It was an extraordinarily busy day for which we had no answer but to push through the orders as best we could. We have extra staff rostered on this week, but I can honestly say that day was beyond any expectations, which as much as it is good financially... More
