We have been in this restaurant Monday, (the 22nd). We ordered Hummus and the Kashk-e-badenjan as entrees and Zereshk polo and Lamb shank as mains. It was our first time in a Persian restaurant and we enjoyed all the meals. The portions are very generous, full of flavors and the meat was tender and perfectly cooked. Smiling and kind staff.... This is a great resturant with good quality food at reasonable prices. Chicken skewers are fantastic and the rice is great. Service is friendly and helpful. A beer or two would have been nice but I respect the culture of no alcohol.

This place is a must try if you are in to middle eastern food. The food is absolutely wonderful and the service is not too far behind. We were very well looked after, we had two kids with us and staff looked after them well and recommended on what to order as well. We will differently be back when we... More

Just dine here. Food was average. We had three dishes of chelo kebab, koobideh,(very oily) Chicken kebab( average) and lamb shank (good taste.well cooked). The waitress served us was rude and arrogant. Overall there are way better restaurants in the surfers paradise to dine in and enjoy the meal and atmosphere than

I am fortunate enough to have exposure to this cuisine with my family at home, so when I came and tasted the food here I left a very happy customer. The meat was tender and flavoursome and the hummus was home made and delightful. I would highly recommend this place, especially for people that have never tried it before. For... More

Actually, I was really happy to eat some shashlik (sorry for not remembering any persian names), which is similar to russian one=) as well as chicken in tomato sauce... and will always remember a simple salad with some not simple special sauce - delicious=) I think it's some restaurant you need to visit in Surfers Paradise...

My companion and I were greatly impressed by this simple eating establishment. The popularity of the place with the large number of Muslim people eating there was testament to its authenticity. The freshness and flavour of the food was impressive and the service was very fast and whilst "without frills" very pleasant and friendly. If you like authentic middle eastern... More

Description
Iran is a country with a diverse geography and ethnic population. It sits at the centre of the former Kingdom of Persia, one of the world's oldest continuous major civilisations. Iran forms a bridge between the Middle East and the Far East in the centre of the ancient Silk Road, a major trading route which goes back tens of thousands of years. Persian cuisine has influenced many world cuisines, and has absorbed elements from other cuisines as well. It's no surprise that Persian ingredients such as saffron, pomegranate and spinach have made their way into other cuisines! As ancient traders took their wares to the corners of the world, they traded goods, bringing back the eating habits and ingredients from Greece, Rome, Turkey, Russia and India. Today's Persian cuisine traces its roots to ancient Persian ingredients and recipes, and is enriched by the great tastes imported from the rest of the world!
