This well know'n Establishment within the Walls of the Ascot Hotel in Rockhampton is a Must see. It's reputation will never Tarnish and certainly as far as i've know never dropped the ball. The Owner Will is always on hand to give a running Oratory of the Virtues of well bread Beef Cattle and the Cuts of Beef the purvey.... More

The stone grill is a different way to cook steak, and it results in a very succulent, tasty steak. It sort of cooks itself on the plate in front of you. The service was good. The restaurant is in the Ascot Hotel, and has a pub atmosphere

The steaks here are super delicious in a very casual atmosphere. They are cooked on the hot lava stone to keep the steaks juicy and cooked to perfection. We had the tenderloin and the rib eye which were both really great and had different flavors due to the cuts of each. This place basically has a really great quality meat... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way south. Rockhampton is in the heart of cattle country. We met Will at the bar. He gave us the rundown on why the steaks here were better than any other place on earth. He wasn't far off. The steaks are served on a stone heated to 400 degrees. This seals in the... More

The restaurant is quaint but a bit dated. Just entered the owner will explain the various cuts of meat with a passion and precision that makes one suspect to his previous job as a butcher. The meat is spectacular. Side dish to improve . List beers and wines good but not huge.
