Nautilus Restaurant is not cheap but provides an eating experience that is well above par in Port Douglas. The first thing you will notice is that the restaurant is "under the stars". It has a retractable sail roof structure that covers the restaurant in minutes when weather dictates. In essence, you dine on a wooden platform in the middle of... More

My partner and I had the absolute pleasure of dining here Jan 2017. From the moment you entered, the service was exceptional, the wine magnificent and the food to die for. It's one of the more expensive restaurants but worth every single penny. A very nice experience, complete with a visit from a family of bandicoots as well. Highly recommend!

Very distinctive environment, out doors on a paved terrace close by the kitchen, but all good. It has a plastic canopy overhead to deal with inevitable rain, that actually adds to the charm. Staff are very confident, and competent, know their dishes well, and most importantly portion size. Selected an array of appetisers/entrees as opposed to degustation. Degustation looked good,... To have the convenience of dining in the main street yet feeling like you are in the middle of the Daintree is truly an amazing experience. This is our 6th visit in as many years. The food & service are always amazing & of a very high standard. Our last visit was in November 2016 and on the night there... More

We chose the 5 course tasting menu for dinner. It was beautiful food & setting however, it was expensive for an experience you could have at any fine dining restaurant. We were willing to pay top dollar, and obviously chose one of their most expensive menu options, however, we had just as good an experience (if not better) at a... More

A really unique experience - fine dining among the the rainforest canopy with some old class food and service. If you're in Port Douglas for a special occasion, there is no other option!

Simply amazing food and by far the best in restaurant in Port Douglas. As a regular visitor of Port Douglas I was always put off by $$$$ and the notion of it being expensive. Now having been there I can honestly state that the dining experience here is great value. Only disappointment was finding that they have not moved forward... More

We went for a nice dinner when visiting Port Douglas. I would go as far as to say that Nautilus is a must visit. We dod the 5 course tasting menu paired with wine and it was amazing. It stands up against some of the fancier places we have been. Great service, great food and very reasonably priced (and the... More

The tall European waiter here is extremely extremely rude. So much so we were very close to walking out. Thankfully we changed waiters and he was great. The other staff we came in contact with were all very lack lustre, including the maitre d. Furthermore two of the signature dishes were unavailable and we had to wait 2 hours for... More

Very well run restaurant, terrific food and polished service. Raining the night we went so we probably missed the full "Rainforest canopy" experience, but a great experience nevertheless.
