We came because of the reviews and were sadly disappointed. The AC was dripping on us, the tempura octopus entree was so heavily battered, and the wine pairing we'd ordered with our main came 30 mins before our meal was served. We weren't given the appropriate cutlery, and the bill took an equally excruciating long time to come, just extending... More

Title sounds strange right? I will explain. My wife and I were in Port Douglas on vacation October 2015. It was recommended by our travel agent. The wait staff, management and food was superb!!. However the aquarium in the hallways going to the restroom are a site to behold. I thought I had lost my wife until she came back... More

We were recommended to Zinc by the owners of the hotel we were staying in. We had arrived mid evening after driving through a storm, it was still raining so we were grateful that the restaurant was nearby. We had an excellent meal, so good that we subsequently returned for a further visit later in the week. The service and... More

Had a lovely meal sitting in the tropical garden. Good service also. It's on the corner of macros an street and the main road into town. You'll see it. Don't miss out on going there!

I attended Zinc with my wife for our wedding anniversary. It was well worth the drive. Even though we were 30 min late.... due to storm. We were sat down immediately. The food ordered was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The desert, I couldnt finish due to size. Great meal

Food was great and kids enjoyed it very much too. The twice cooked goat cheese was excellent. Highly recommended for families.

Visited Zinc December 2014 twice and was impressed and couldn't fault the food. I was looking forward to our return! Our visit in January 2017 wasn't the same. Food was tasteless: Starter: Baby Octopus Tempura was missing something (tasteless)and only enjoyable part was a mouthful with a chilli piece to get some flavor Main: Pan Fried Barramundi . The only... More

We enjoyed a cocktail at Zinc every night of our stay at Port Douglas. The cocktail menu is fabulous and the staff were really great in explaining the different drinks. We had dinner at Zinc on our last night and the food was amazing. It is not a cheap place to eat but very nice as a special treat.

We tried a number of places in Port Douglas and this was definitely my favorite. This is fine dining and they did a superb job with service, food and wine. A few of us had Kangaroo and it was by far the best on the trip. Seafood was excellent as well and our variety of appetizers were a hit. Décor... More
