Great spot and wonderful food. If you have allergies this is a good restaurant as they were very willing to accommodate your allergies. You wouldn't think our meal was a gluten and dairy free meal as there was nothing missing just absolutely moist and delicious.

Ambience is what it is.. nothing out of the ordinary - definitely not a Wow impression.. Service was fine, hostess and wait staff did what one would expect in a fine restaurant, nothing more and nothing less. Now , the most important reason for patronizing...any restaurant- the food. Perhaps an off night for the chef or his crew, but with the exception of the desert ( a trio of gelato ) everything that was ordered was very pedestrian. The starter that was ordered ( the burrata ) was salty and was saved by the appetite of a hungry diner. The main of prawns and linguini was also over salted and nothing to rave about. Another dish that also was heavily salted was the grilled cos lettuce ( a very salty Caesar salad without the anchovies ). I realize that this restaurant gets stellar reviews, but one has to think who is jumping for joy about Zinc.. Fortunately, I have traveled around the globe for business and pleasure and have dined out at some of most highly praised establishments as well as at many ‘hole in the wall’ emporiums and know when I have dined and enjoyed a properly prepared and presented meal. Sadly, Zinc does not do anything to lure me back with friends or family for a meal. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and that’s what makes a horse race. First and our only visit to Zinc.. Other choices in Port Douglas beckon !!!More

We stumbled upon Zinc during our trip in Port Douglas. We were amazed by the modern design of the restaurant and the aquarium in the toilet is a bonus! We went for the scotch fillet with dijon mustard, caramelised onion and mushroom truffle sauce with...a side of smashed chat potatoes with chimichurri and labneh. This restaurant no doubt served the best steak I’ve ever had! We also had the prawn linguine with saffron butter, garlic and sofrito which was a delight.More

Fabulous food with the entree special kingfish being amazing and definitely worthy of a spot as permanent. Mains of scotch fillet and barramundi were flawless and the kids bolognaise would stand up in Rome. Thank you

Expensive but worth it. The food, service, and venue were 10/10. Most other places in Port Douglas cost a little less, but Zinc was one of the best restaurants in Port Douglas.

Wow wow wow the food was fantastic and so much. My wife and I had scallops and black prawns for starters then the barramundi and roasted cauliflower. There was so much we didn’t have room for desserts. They catered for my wife being a vegetarian...who is also gluten intolerant with lots of options. We will definitely be back when next in Port Douglas.More

This restaurant looks really pretty in the evening with its decorative lights. The meal we had was okay, portions seemed a bit small and the service wasn’t great on the evening we went, the waiting team seemed to be serving too many tables and we...struggled at times to get their attention. Also frustrating that an incorrect drink was presented to us and that the restaurant had run out of non-alcoholic beerMore

Amazing service, really good food and short waiting time. The waiters and waitresses were very polite and helpful when ordering - Also there’s a mini aquarium in the toilets 🤯

Dress code is very casual just like the rest of Port Douglas. Think Waikiki.
