We'd been very lucky to have this restaurant recommended to us. The recommendation also came with a "you must have the whole fish"...which I did. What a treat! Whole Barramundi with a spicy coating and an asian slaw. The fish took up the whole plate...More

We booked here for a 8-00 sitting as they were very busy, we arrived at 7-30 and had a drink at the Groper bar, which was able to be put on our tab. Normally there is a groper that comes in and everyone gets to see....More

Went for dinner after having afternoon sips to see them feeding George. Very busy at this time, but dinner was less crowded. Great selection from the menu and a good wine list. Recommend the seafood here. Great views across the water. Attentive staff made for...More

Back again for our 3rd visit and once again a relaxing 3 hour lunch with the family and some friends was a hit. The whole fish flash fried with their special glaze is just to die for. Whole menu is great but this is the...More

My family met friends here who raved about this place. They discovered it a few years back and have become frequent diners. We opted for a large table on the deck overlooking the mountains on an inlet. Below was a massive resident Groper that at...More

This is the 3rd time we've eaten at On The Inlet. It's fabulous, particularly if you're a seafood lover. My wife and I enjoyed the seafood platter for 2 which is laden with tasty morsels. It was huge and came with dips, chips and salad....More

OTI is a superb restaurant which we regretfully overlooked on a previous trip to Port Douglas. Such is the fame of the giant Groper (George) that visits regularly, we originally missed out on dining there. The restaurant can be quite crowded during his 'show' and...More

FairGoTRavel, thanks for taking the time to share your review. Indeed the popular George the Groper feed isn't such a peaceful nor romantic spectacle, though its great fun! Early diners are welcomed after the show, in time for viewing the sun setting. Thank you for...More

This lively restaurant is situated right on the water with brilliant sunset views. A seafood lovers delight with a large range of fresh fish dishes and a couple of menu items for those that for some reason?? don't love fish! Try some cocktails, great range.

Our dinner choice was the coral sea trout and it was absolutely incredible. An appetizer of bread with oil, vinegar and dukkah along with a fabulous Shiraz Tempernillo completed a wonderful dinner in the open air dining room on the harbor. Recommend it highly!
