We have been coming here for 20+ years. The food is perfectly presented Italian. It is authentic on flavours, style and feel, thanks to the owner Tony and wife occasionally over-viewing the kitchen and dining room, and due to an Italian chef and sous chef...More

We stopped in Sassi for a quick lunch, while having a stroll along in a very hot day in Port Douglas. We had the squid black arancini (fantastic), the calameretti insalata (simple and tasty) and the linguine di mare (nice and rich). We were very...More

Friends recommended we eat here, and we weren't disappointed. The service was outstanding from the moment we arrived until we left - although this is not a casual restaurant, the wait staff still like to have a bit of fun, which suits us. The food...More

A little on the pricier end however all our meals where delicious. The plastic chairs have got to go considering what you are paying for the meals.

Average setting. Poor enough service from sullen staff. Food was just about ok but over-priced. This place doesn't want you to come back and certainly aren't interested in making it a memorable experience. Pity.

As above. If you are a 'there was not much topping' type of person, don't other. If you appreciate proper Italian pizza, then this is your place.

As an entree we had the oysters and scallops. Very fresh seafood. The oysters had a spicy chili sauce which we loved. For the mains we chose the day specials: barramundi en papillote and lamb cutlets accompanied by an australian chardonnays and shiraz which were...More

We enjoyed a lovely seafood meal, served by a combination of attentive staff. Clams, prawns, tuna and scallops were all prepared beautifully - a great wine menu is also available to enjoy alongside your food choices.

Yes shorts are fine. Our dress code is smart casual and we are in the tropics. As it's winter for us and we think it's a bit cool in the evening, - 22c - many wear long pants.
