Best restaurant by far in Port Douglas! Ink Squid Linguini, zuppa de pesce, and seafood linguini are amazing. Perfect service.

My wife and I visited one of our regular spots in Port Douglas for a Saturday night dinner. As usual Sassi delivered in spades. All of the food was delish: - oysters fresh and plump and tasting of the sea. - tuna on seaweed -...More

Rosario I am so sorry that your night ended on this note. It is inexcusable and I sincerely apologise for this waiter's behaviour. It is also disappointing for the other team members who are unfailingly polite. If you felt inclined to contact me, I would...More

We went to Sassi to try a bit of Italian cuisine, and was a pleasant surprise. Really good Italian food, and Italian people as well, and finally decent pizza (I'm from Italy and I haven't found a decent pizza in Australia so far). Unfortunately it's...More

We tried all the top restaurants in Port Douglas during our holiday and found the food at Sassi to be the best. Although their food may not be as exotic as some of the restaurants in Port Douglas, it offered high quality and well cooked...More

My husband and I went here for dinner at the end of March. We were greeted by what seemed to be a manager or owner who was professional but curt and not welcoming or friendly. The inside of the restaurant has a modern look with...More

This Italian Cucina comes highly recommended by locals. It’s low season in Pt Douglas and there weren’t many diners around. Still, you could tell that the kitchen (nothing but Italian spoken here) proudly cared about what was sent out. Salmon carpaccio and Veal chop were...More
