Try the local Seafood Pie, or any of the uniquely Australian pies such as Kangaroo. Not everything in Port is expensive, this is a great quality cheap eat.

Bought a small cheese pastry and paid $4.50. When I mentioned that the menu board had small for $3.00, she said they haven't updated the board. Stupidly I paid $4.50, went outside and took a bite. I threw it in the bin - I think it had been reheated more than once. Don't waste your money!

This is the 'best' bakery. No wonder they win so many awards... Love their pies, best bread, rolls and cakes. Nothing is to much trouble, a Port Douglas legend...

We stopped here for a quick lunch, and were delightfully surprised. The specialty pies were so good, and the sweet selection is amazing too. Service was good - we sat outside.

We came here to grab some pies for a quick lunch and to buy bread. We were happy with the selection of pies and with their quality. I recommend the greek-style spanakopita. We also bought bread and it was good. Although, it took surprisingly long to have it sliced.

As a Victorian out of the state on AFL Grand Final day, I was looking for a place that does good pies to eat while watching today's game (GO DOGS!). This local legend importantly does the basics (standard meat, steak/pepper, steak/mushroom) pies perfectly but also has some very cool specialty pies that really enhanced the Bulldogs victory (and a few... After a full day of exploring Port Douglas and a really big lunch we prepared to take a shuttle back to our airbnb that set out of town a bit. Predicting that we'd be a bit hungry later we moseyed into Mocka's for a coupla takeaway pies. The hubster loves Costco Chicken Pot Pie but was a bit apprehensive about... More

This is a little hidden gem off the main street of Port Douglas. A very typical looking pie shop/bakery. We had the seafood pie. I always order a sausage roll because I am generally pretty disappointed with pies but being in a relaxed holiday mood, I decided to try a pie. I was more than rewarded for making a change!... More

Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne.
