Mockas has been around for years and a visit to Pt Douglas means pies for lunch on the beach. The pies are chock full of filling, great price and friendly service. The range of flavours is many with our favourites being the potato, chicken & veges, steak, bacon& cheese. Located down a one-way street the store can be easily missed... More

Wow! First tasted these pies 36 years ago whilst holidaying in Port and they are still the best tasting - 36 years later! Congrats guys, you are legends!

Genuinely delicious pies. They've got heaps of awards pinned to the window. Fab for a quick, cheap and delicious lunch (pies about $6 or so).

A coffee at Mocka's will not disappoint - if you are there at lunch time we suggest you also have a pie!

Mocka's continue to scoop the pool with awards for their pies and pasties here there and every where. They have excelled for me with their Lamb Pie and their Curry Beef Pie. They are so rich and unctuous that a bit of salad, or mash & peas, make them a big satisfying main meal at a budget price for many... More

Had the green curry chicken pie. Definitely a chicken pie with just the right amount of curry. Shared 2 sweet slices for supper which were also very tasty. Staff friendly and patient whilst we were making our decisions.

For the price they should have been bigger. Im still hungry after the steak and onion pie. I've had way better and more flavorsome pies not sure what all the awards are about...

So, when doing my research into Port Douglas, Mocka's Pie's was at the top of the list for what I have to do. That's a big deal considering all that's available in Port Douglas. However, who could pass up the chance to have award winning crocodile and kangaroo pies! Anyway, the staff were really friendly, we actually ended up buying... More

Good range of scrumptious pies with the Crocodile being a big hit with my husband. Would happily patronise again.

Description
Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne.
