This place has the best street appeal of any restaurant in Port Douglas. I had the 300g rump which was quite fatty, but the worst part was it was overwhelmed by salt. Maybe they are trying to numb your taste buds in preparation for time in the ocean. It was so salty I can not imagine this hasn't been mentioned... More

If you're looking for a casual little spot with fab views, a relaxed vibe, cold beer and some tasty food, then the Tin Shed is the spot for you. Located just down away from the main shopping strip, it's situated on the waterfront of the inlet overlooking the mangroves and the lush ranges in the distance. There is an outside... More

Divine lunch at the mouth of the river. The grilled Spanish Mackeral special was fresh and tasty with chips and salad. The chicken parma just as good. washed down with a Great Northern on tap and a Kiwi Merlot. They even fan spray mist to keep you cool. Watch the boats and coast and linger. Great value. One of the... Ate here in the evening and enjoyed the specials and the normal menu. The mixed spring rolls (prawn, barramundi, crocodile) was excellent and the bar had a good selection of beers on tap. Servings were generous of size we certainly weren't hungry at the end. We arrived after dark so can't tell you of the outlook but considering we sailed... More

Upon the recommendation of our bus driver we went to the Tin Shed for our first night in Port Douglas. The meals were heartily enjoyed by all nine people from two families. I chose the bucket of prawns and I was not disappointed - fresh and delicious. I had a hard time keeping everyone else on the table from stealing... More

We stopped off after a trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Quicksilver from the marina and after signing in as a visitor enjoyed drinks in a very comfortable setting. Lovely setting. Menu for dinner looked good but we had a booking elsewhere. Certainly worth supporting.

We loved our visit to the tin shed, sitting with a bucket of prawns and a beer right of the water, feeding shells to the fish, staff very friendly, back for a second visit, highly recommended.

I have had several meals here with friends and family. The view from the ocean side deck is always incredible. The food is great value, simple but tasty and the service is generally very good. Recommended for family dining.

I'd read good reviews about both the food and the views. Spot on in both cases. I had a nice rocket salad and a delicious seafood basket and my husband enjoyed his spring rolls and Thai massaman curry.

Had dinner here onThursday, very friendly staff, had a drink upstairs before dinner, great bar man from Blue Mountains near Sydney. We had dinner downstairs with beautiful view of the river inlet. Great food, I had grilled fish, very nice and inexpensive compared to other restaurants in Port Douglas. My husband had the Seafood Basket, he was very happy with... More
