Stopped by for a quick bier or 2 and something light on a Sunday Arvo. We settled in in the "Beergarden" and enjoyed a Pretzel each. Service was efficient and pleasant and the waiter was comfortable sharing words in English and Deutsch with us. We did notice another "patron" who appeared to be familiar with the waiter, to the point... More

Nice location and good food. Even the pretzels sold there are tasty. The staff friendly and mostly European in a tropical area! The beer we had was good and refreshing on a warm day. A bit too noisy the place, with many chattering and loud music, though.

A Bavarian beer house, that gets your beer wrong. Didn't bother trying the food, no incentive when the little things are wrong

Ate here our first night in Cairns. Has pleasant outside dining and a marvelous view of the Esplanade. Service was good. All beers are German and very nice. The menu is simple nothing fancy or really out of the ordinary, for a German restaurant. There are much better places to eat, but you can't beat it for a view and... More

Great selection of German Beers. Litre Steins!! My darling and I often stop in on a Saturday afternoon and grab a refreshing beer with a hot pretzel and butter on the side. Relaxed atmosphere, charming and efficient service.

I ended up eating here three times on bookend trips to Cairns. It was a convenient location, right on a busy strip and near my lodging and a buddy's lodging. The food was tasty. And the service was fine (probably good for Cairns).

Restaurant has large indoor area, as well as outdoors, with big tables to suit large groups, as well as smaller tables. Staff were friendly, food service is quite fast, drinks are reasonably priced, but food pricing is a bit over the top for what it is.

So we finally came here after deliberating and hearing bad stories about this place. The food was actually quite amazing we ate the shared platter. The service was pretty crap but honestly it wasn't the servers fault it's the lack of staff on a busy day. Happy hour is 5-7pm and offers $10 Steins (instead of $16)
