This cafe has survived for years because the food is always delicious! We have been going here for years and it never disappoints. The liver is fantastic, I can never finish it all and always ask to take the leftovers home - once the carton handed to me was hot - in error my food had been thrown away so... More

In a word, disappointed. After years of this icon being our go to for family functions, afraid we will have to give it a miss in future. After waiting nearly two hours for mains, poor service (had to ask multiple times for drinks, pour our own wine and water, and ask to order food) our group of 14 left with... More

This is a neighbourhood gem that has had some of the same dishes on the menu for years because there would be a hail of customer complaints if they took their popular favourites away from their loyal clientele. The cuisine has French and Italian influences, and the chefs are confident enough to serve liver and know that you'll probably like... More

I was told you will never be disappointed and we were not! Attentive service without being intrusive a decent wine list but the winner Spm round is the goid. We got the terrine for entree and it was so tart served with cheese, tomato and pickles just brilliant. The spaghetti was amazing with the perfect balance of seafood & spice... More

We attended a lunchtime wedding reception here and the food and service were excellent. The cuttlefish entree beautiful, Osso Bucco main great, and Creme brûlée lovely. Staff were exceptional. Would defiantly go back as a paying customer going on the quality and service for a full wedding reception.

I attended this establishment on a Friday with a small group of assorted old mates from diverse backgrounds. We were feted with a menu which was small however comprehensive with most food groups represented. The service was efficient, friendly and welcoming. The wine list was more than adequate with Australian, French and NZ contenders at a price that seemed fair.... More

Took in Lunch here with relatives over the weekend, very beautiful setting and great food and ambiance. Beer was cold and wine delicious, could not fault the service or attentiveness of the staff.

Continental Cafe consistently serves delicious food in a welcoming and professional manner. The classics menu is so good, I have not tried many of the other choices (after years of visiting)! Situated a few mins from Brisbame CBD off Brunswick Street, it's well worth a visit. Solo or in a group - everyday or special occasions, you are always well... More

Located just off Brunswick Street and opposite the old Village Twin cinemas, The Continental Cafe has been serving the locals for over 20 years. As an ex resident of New Farm I am impressed the Continental remains but sadly, neighbours have failed and moved on. On a Sunday morning this is probably the best spot for a quiet breakfast while... This place is my happy place. I have eaten here countless times and it is always perfect. The food is outstanding and service always top notch. It has the perfect French ambience. I am a massive fan of the Continental Classic - Soy Lime Chicken Breast... fries cooked in duck fat and apple tarte tatin which is seasonal. 10 of... More
