We went to the spanish garden and the service and food was excellent. My lamb ribs were very smoky and simply fell off the bone.. I had to buy a bottle of red to go with it as I was enjoying the moment far to much. My fiance enjyed the fillet mingon which she shared a bite with me... it... More

The Brekky Creek is an iconic pub and is usually the place for a pretty good steak lunch. The new rum bar is terrific and great to try some rums from all over the world. Unfortunately our latest visit wasn't one to write home about. The steaks were not as ordered - medium rare requested but received medium/well done. Chips... More

Was brought here as a special treat by my brother in law and his family. Very disappointing. I ordered the most expensive aged steak medium rare and the wrong steak arrived well done. Requested another cooked correctly but it did not arrive until my companions had almost finished their meal. Steak was tough and gristly. Not even close to being... More

This is one of Brisbane's oldest and most iconic pubs and has been renowned for its first-rate steaks for decades! And decades later, it still has first-rate steaks. You can have other dishes as well but if you want a fantastic steak, you certainly won't be disappointed with it! I never have! It has expanded in size over the years... More

Love the history & architecture of old pubs like one, add great food, staff & modern touches/areas & you have a great venue.

Having lived around the Albion and Hamilton area when I was young it's certainly changed a lot. I remember picking my steak and then it being cooked in front of us and a really relaxed atmosphere. It's a bit more upmarket now but enjoyable all the same.

Good place to go for a good feed of meat (large portions) no desserts available which was disappointing. Don't expect service, you had to order at the counter and pick up your own meal.

Enjoyed a very generous and fresh lunch of the Creek Platter and the Prawn & Avocado salad. Whereas the salad was very good the avocado stated on the menu was missing! Staff were welcoming and helpful. Nice relaxing venue with an extensive range of beers on tap.

Either they have a set marketing strategy of making people wait for hours for a meal, or they badly need to invest in more staff. Unfortunately a birthday was organised, on the same night at the Trots. Parking was a very serious issue, there was none. Then to wait in a line for more than 40 minutes just to place... More

Description
The Staghorn Garden is a Queensland institution, thanks to its relaxed, subtropical ambiance and lush landscaping. It boasts stunning timber decks which create an artful, soft separation between the food and bar businesses. The entire area is light, bright and inviting, merging seamlessly with an eight metre high breezeway structure that links the heritage listed Hotel building to the Substation No.41 building. An open kitchen and servery is situated on one side of the breezeway, where patrons are able to choose their own steak from the chilled cabinet, in classic Brekky Creek tradition. The hotel is renowned for introducing Beer Garden style dining to Queensland. The Brekky Creek continues to hold this tradition proud as the Staghorn Beer Garden offers the very best in casual outdoor dining. The Staghorn Beer Garden boasts seating for over 500 people.
