We came here for dinner with our son. Mousakka was really good as was the stuffed capsicum. Great prices, even better food.

We were a table of 6 on Saturday night. We could only get in for early seating and seeing how popular it is, I understand why. The place was packed, yet our group of friends all agreed that the food was delicious and the service was seemless. The staff were professional, confident, smiley, very friendly and nothing was too much... More

Went here a while back with my family. We booked in advanced. When we arrived they didn't seem to know where we should be placed and had to wait for a table. Sat down and first thing we noticed is we couldn't hear each other speak because the music was so loud. We asked for wine glasses (as we had... More

Noticed this restaurant when going to one next door and agreed to visit the next week. We were not disappointed. We had the platter for two which had haloumi, baby octopus, calamari and an assortment of souvlaki as well as a great tatziki and lots of home made bread. Everything was delicious and the serving was large. This costs about... More

This restaurant is really excellent! There were 19 of us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. All the food portions are very generous, the food is of the highest quality, and very yummy. The service is beyond excellent and the atmosphere is fantastic. We are definitely going back often as it is also amazing value for money. The desserts are... More

My husband and I arrived late but were warmly welcomed. My lamb yiros was a winner but my husband's beef sikofa was tender but bland. Desserts were good nothing to rave about and the coffee was passe. Unfortunately my husband's head was 10cm away from an electronic cash register screen ( there were much more ambient empty tables ) so... More

We are sailing soon in the Greek Islands out of Lefkas so thought it would be appropriate to have a meal at the Lefkas Taverna in Brisbane. Not disappointed - a great warm-up for our forthcoming Greek holiday - great atmosphere, great food and great service. And all at a reasonable price.

A great place for dinner, couples or large groups as there are plenty of tables inside, however it was busy so I'd book ahead if you can. Atmosphere is great, not too loud you can here each other talking but great bouzouki band playing, and the owner/manager guy was getting everyone up to dance zorbas and just having a good... More

Bunch of 6 ladies meet monthly & were looking forward to Lefkes but we'll never go back there. If we'd known about the corkage we could have shared 1 bottle & paid $10 corkage, no problem. But three of us arrived with wine, so we were charged $30 corkage, & it was not negotiable. I was the only person drinking... More

A simply delicious meal with equally impressive service. It's been many years since we have experienced this kind of hospitality. From the moment we arrived all the staff were attentive, friendly and prompt. We started with the dolmadies which we spot on! We shared the meze platter (2 people) which easily fed 2 adults & 2 kids. Topped off with... More

Description
Lefkas Taverna was created in 1991 as a family operated business providing Authentic Greek Cuisine as it would be made in the village. Big plates filled with plenty of flavour and a lot of love.John Theoharis took over operation of Lefkas in 2005, in this time John has altered a few things, menu, image, presentation and additions although Lefkas is still a bound family operation from front of house to back from 11am through until late. Lefkas is now bigger & better than ever.We have expanded our restaurant capacity to create more seating, atmosphere, options and events, everything on the Lefkas menu remains the same plus more. The ambience pouring through the restaurant is second to none, people are up clapping and dancing, the band create such a vibe that no one can resist. Before you know it the restaurant is dancing on the street and cheering away, (Greek Style) loud and proud! This experience is quite hard to find, also so is the wide variety of food that fills everyone’s taste buds.John has put his heart and soul into this venture and takes a lot of pride in his business and efforts. Lefkas will now become a Greek restaurant meeting any imagination or requests possible. We will now have the capacity and space to hold events such as large group birthday parties, christenings, corporate lunches or dinner’s, even weddings!Everything Lefkas has to offer is made in house from dips to desserts. We fillet and marinate our own meat including Yiros, Souvlaki, Seafood, all cooked daily and from the best local produce. Our aim is to capture and cater for our loyal customers and their friends from start to finish, whether it is takeaway or a dining experience our staff will make sure your Lefkas experience is unforgettable. Our new lunch menu will catch the eye, more options at an affordable price, efficient service, leaving you fulfilled and satisfied, our dinner menu sizes and options will also be available upon request at lunch if you want to go all out on your favourites! Our dinner menu and pricing remains the same with a few more options to choose from.Last but not least…. Freshly made honey puffs, all visible and made in front of you, quite hard to resist! Drizzled with honey syrup and a dash of icing sugar, available all day dine in or take away. We will also have a liquor licence in coming months which will allow you to sit back and be served Greek style, great food, great wine and the fantastic music!(Eat Safe Brisbane Rating - 4 stars) Weekly Live Music from 7-10pm every Friday night plus once a month on Saturdays.Remaining Dates for 2013:Sat Nov 23rd, 30th, Dec 7th, 14th and our final trading date for 2013 Sat 21st of December.Bookings are essential, please visit our website for further details
