Esquire is certainly an experience. We had a great table by the window overlooking Storey Bridge and with a nice space between us and fellow diners. We went for the 7 course Degustation Menu with matched wines, every dish was different and tasty and the wines certainly matched. Would have liked larger servings of both to be honest as after... Our group is a gourmet club and we took over the whole Esquire restaurant. A few of us did go a few days previous to taste the menu of the day but we left the menu for the night to the experts. The service was amazing, fabulous staff and our particular thanks to Michael. While the food was different to... More

We were in for a mid week dinner - a wine dinner with multiple courses matched with the host winery's wines. While I don't think function menus are the best way to experience a restaurant (I've also never been a fan of the degustation menu - or gourmet catering as I refer to it - but I digress!) I think... I dined here recently with my husband and had the degustation menu and we were both quite underwhelmed by the whole experience. Note; we dine out very regularly, often in high-end restaurants and love degustation meals. The location is great but the actual restaurant itself in terms of decor/atmosphere is bland. Because it is reputedly one of Brisbanes best I... More

This was the highlight for us in a weekend trip to Brisbane from Port Moresby!!! Granted, fine dining in POM is somewhat limited, however, this was a real dining experience!! We absolutely loved the tissue thin air dried wagyu beef with horseradish and beef carpaccio. Were amazed at the cellophane like apple in the apple truffle strudel, and a wonderful... More

This is a nice restaurant for a quick meal for a couple, first date or a group of 4. The menu is concise and wine list good. The quickness of the food is came be over come by telling the staff to slow down.... Service and atmosphere is good... Located on Eagle St (Brisbane), it's a good restaurant for first... More

We dined here for the first time and don't think we will again. The menu was confusing in its presentation and we weren't sure what was a starter or a main. The menu was also quite limited. What we wanted to order had sold out and so we ended up ordering something we didn't really want and it wasn't so... More

I dined at Esquire last weekend in a party of 7. The food was quite enjoyable and well presented, however we did not know what we were eating for many of the courses. The noise level in the restaurant made for a less than enjoyable evening. We could not hear what the waiters said for either the food or wine... More

The food was good and the service attentive but it looked that the casual dining area was getting a little tired. The food was well presented and tasty but not at the special level. Prices were reasonable and service was good.
