I was looking forward to finally getting to this restaurant as I had been wanting to go here for ages. My husband and I have stayed at the Sofitel numerous times but had always dined either in the Thyme restaurant or elsewhere. My son (14) and I arrived and I found navigating to the entrance of the restaurant was cumbersome.... More

After having our booking at Thyme2 disappear on us we dined at Prive249. A small and quiet fine dining restaurant. Food was great and food came out pretty quick. The 3 course meal deal was good value and servings of their wine were generous. My only gripe was the service. One of our party arrived a lot earlier and sat... More

We have dined at the Sofitel's Thyme 2 restaurant many times often taking family and friends and have always had great food and service. As a wedding anniversary special dinner we decided to dine at Sofitel's premier restaurant, Prive 249. There have been many good reviews on various websites in the past and the online menu has looked very interesting,... More

Staying 3 nights in Brisbane at Hotel New Incholm, I had impressive Italian first night at Julius Pizzeria then stunning dinner second night at Thompson's Reserve at Hotel New Incholm (I can see why this is a one hat restaurant!) Being an Accor member I thought Id walk across the road tonight and dine at the Sofitel in Prive 249....... More

Staying at the Sofitel I ate at the Privé249 twice - the first time a delicious rib eye steak, well prepared and tender, the second time fish. Both times I was not disappointed. The first evening I had oysters as a starter, they were good but not up to the standards I am used to in France, where they come... More

Prive249 has a lovely classy & intimate atmosphere which we appreciated. We were staying across the road at the New Inchcolm Hotel & decided to have dinner here as being Accor members. We found the food to be well presented & tasty although the portions were on the small size. The wagyu eye fillet was cooked to perfection & was... More

I stopped here for dinner on a recent business trip through Brisbane. The restaurant is the fine dining arm of the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane. I chose the three course menu which is realistically good value at $88. Especially in an establishment of this calibre. Unfortunately there are a few issues with the restaurant. Whilst there is no doubt that... More

Came here with friends. 2 of us are having birthday celebration. Very small portion. The fish and beef is nicely done. A little too expensive. Service is not good.

We ordered the 3-course meal with wine paring and loved everything about this place; the service, the atmosphere, the food and the wine. I believe they change the menu every month - so an even better reason to visit Prive 249 more often. They have an enclosed private dining which is very quiet and romantic. I am yet to try... More

On our visit to Brisbane's Sofitel we tried Prive 249 as it was a special occasion for us and we wanted a something special. The location of the restaurant is great, an intimate setting with a view. The food was good and typically French so don't expect big servings and the menu options are limited. The food itself was delicious... More
