Prive 249 used to be an exceptional dinning experience serving first class novel cuisine. This was 2 years ago, when we celebrated my wife's birthday at the restaurant and were stunned by the quality and presentation of their food. Hence we decided to go back there once more for a farewell celebration of my daughter and were deeply disappointed what... More

Well deserve of 5 Stars!!! My hubby ordered Rib fillet steak whilst I ordered Grilled beef fillet and crayfish. It was scrumptious. Yum! Plus, their service was really professional and just outstanding. This is what you need in this kind of industry. Make your customers feel special and just smile. So, guests like us can enjoy our experience. Although, we've... More

The resturant is modern French and hidden behind thyme2 which is the buffet resturant at the sofitel hotel. It's a very small and intimate resturant and the staff are extremely attentive, but the food was just so so...nothing particularly stood out. However the presentation was good and the portions were quite large. They do a good deal of 3 courses... More

Great atmosphere...but your table tends to be cleared often when you are getting more food when dining. So close to train travel just down an escalator walk to city. Right beside the War Memorial and other historical buildings. Too expensive to park We had a long time friend wishing to catch up. She was driving in to see us and... More

As this is supposed to be Sofitels top restaurant which is advertised as "chic style to hotel dining: - it sadly lacks. There were only ever three wait staff in the room and mostly only one during our visit. They seemed to disappear into the buffet restaurant adjacent. Most of the time our party had to pour their own wine.... More

I was looking forward to finally getting to this restaurant as I had been wanting to go here for ages. My husband and I have stayed at the Sofitel numerous times but had always dined either in the Thyme restaurant or elsewhere. My son (14) and I arrived and I found navigating to the entrance of the restaurant was cumbersome.... More

After having our booking at Thyme2 disappear on us we dined at Prive249. A small and quiet fine dining restaurant. Food was great and food came out pretty quick. The 3 course meal deal was good value and servings of their wine were generous. My only gripe was the service. One of our party arrived a lot earlier and sat... More

We have dined at the Sofitel's Thyme 2 restaurant many times often taking family and friends and have always had great food and service. As a wedding anniversary special dinner we decided to dine at Sofitel's premier restaurant, Prive 249. There have been many good reviews on various websites in the past and the online menu has looked very interesting,... More

Staying 3 nights in Brisbane at Hotel New Incholm, I had impressive Italian first night at Julius Pizzeria then stunning dinner second night at Thompson's Reserve at Hotel New Incholm (I can see why this is a one hat restaurant!) Being an Accor member I thought Id walk across the road tonight and dine at the Sofitel in Prive 249....... More

Staying at the Sofitel I ate at the Privé249 twice - the first time a delicious rib eye steak, well prepared and tender, the second time fish. Both times I was not disappointed. The first evening I had oysters as a starter, they were good but not up to the standards I am used to in France, where they come... More
