Most dishes here are quite acceptable and relatively inexpensive. The restaurant lacks an edge, though, and cannot be compared with others such as Bella Tiarnie despite its outstanding location. Very much a spot for casual dining rather than to celebrate an important occasion.

Quite possibly the worst Negroni I have ever had. Only had a cocktail and some drinks here but would not go back. If you cant make cocktails - take them off the menu.

I've been to this restaurant twice for lunch. Yesterday was similar to my first visit. An average cafe meal. Loads of chips and a couple of lonely lettuce leaves. The menu item kind of lost in the chips. I have to say my friend was...More

Had a family dinner here on a Friday night, which is quite busy in the city. Wait staff were terrific, nothing was too much trouble and the meals, desserts and drinks arrived in a timely fashion. No complaints whatsoever about the service, surprised to see...More

My partner and I had breakfast there on a public holiday. Normally I'm happy to pay the 15% surcharge for food on public holidays but not at La Dolce Vita. Staff were unenthusiastic and appeared to be bored. The tables were dirty with crumbs and...More

I can confirm La Dolce Vita is now under new management, bringing a new head chef who has developed new breakfast, lunch and dinner menu's, a new pastry chef from Sicily and a new wood fire pizza oven.
