Used TripAdvisor to select this restaurant. I had the Pork linguine which was just awesome. My wife had the steak which were initially worried about due to a previous poor review by others, but she loved it. Recommend this cafe.

We found Verve online and it was only 2 blocks from the Stamford where we were staying. We had checked in a few hours earlier, having driven from Noosa Heads, the entry into the City in a blinding rail/hailstorm. We were really ready for a cocktail and some tasty comfort food. Verve was perfect --- the funky basement locale, the... More

Have been to Verve a few times over the years and the risottos are the best in Brisbane. We all enjoyed our meals so much particularly the pulled pork risotto and sand crab and snapper were amazing! Is our fav catch up pl and taken a lot of friends there!

This restaurant is amazing, the food is delicious and the price they charge is very reasonable for such great quality. The ciders they have are outstanding, the atmosphere is great and it's a hidden treasure in my opinion.

Came here couple of weeks back with a large group. Was really looking forward to their steak but what a disappointment it was! Firstly, the pastas that my friends ordered can best be described as stodgy. No doubt the servings were large but it takes great (and I mean great effort) to swallow a huge congealed lump of pasta. When... More

One of the best pastas I have had in a long time. Very cool and casual vibe and the owner, Shane does the rounds meeting and greeting his diners. Definitely worth a visit.

Lunch prices were reasonable; very generous serves; our delicious meals came quickly and the service was friendly and caring. I am coeliac so was quite excited to have so many gluten free options to choose from. The only downside was that it became very noisy as more people came in. But that will not stop us from going back and... More

Funky and inviting setting underground. Promised a lot from the reviews but I was disappointed. Serves me right for ordering risotto anyway else but in Italy, not great. My husbands Pizza was nice and he enjoyed it, salad was very good.

My wife and I went for dinner last Friday and the food was great. We started with the Garlic pan as a shared entree. This was really good with great flavour and the garlic, cheese and basil was perfectly balanced. We had the spicy prawn fettuccini and the goats cheese and chicken gnocchi. Both were excellent. This place is also... More

Verve is an Italian restaurant situated in a basement in Edward Street. The setting and decor is minimalist (ok- cheap) As it's in a basement it's noisy. However, the food is good Italian- large serves for a reasonable price. I recommend the Calamari. The service can be a bit erratic depending on the numbers in the restaurant.
