Our last night in Darwin and we needed a quick and easy meal near to our hotel. Nirvana filled that requirement perfectly but not only that the staff were prompt and courteous but the chef provided some simple but delicious Malaysian and Thai food which hit the spot. We did not try the Indian food on the menu but we... More

Service and food left a lot to be desired. The restaurant is a bit of a maze and quite dark which I guess adds to the ambience but because we were kind of hidden around a corner in a group of maybe 6 tables, we seemed to get forgotten about by the attendants, it was a Saturday evening and quite... Good food. Ordered spicy quail, green curry and kang kong. Flavour was balanced, just enough coconut cream for the flavour. Quail was okay, wasn't crispy and spicy enough. Service was below standard, need to ask to clear entree, cleaned the table, waitress walked past our table a few times with no other orders, do not offer us any drinks, nor... More

We went there with family and friends and it was a great night. They look after groups very well with either shared plates or individual meals. We had three curries and they were all good. The building has an interesting atmosphere and slightly old world rustic charm. The staff looked after us and kept checking on how we were going.... More

Been coming here 10 years, haven't been in a while after having a few visits with very slow service but thought I'd try again out of some 'local loyalty'. They've certainly lost something of the local atmosphere and service. Freezing aircon straight on us, one waitress says flat out no, can't change it.. next says no worries and proceeds to... More

Ate here last night and was pleasantly surprised. Was starving hungry and walking towards CBD spotted this place with neon lights and live music. Thought to myself maybe? Maybe not ? Walked in and instantly I thought yes!!! Was shown to my seat and provided with menu of good options. Couple of musos started playing some blues - not too... More

Tucked away in a side street is one of Darwin's best kept secrets. We went to Nirvana on a Monday, it was a public holiday so it was pretty bust, we'd no reservation but they managed to fit us in. The decoration of the restaurant is excellent and it's a nice place to chill out. The staff were friendly but... More

A great ambience, decorated very quirkily, enjoyed playing connect 4 whilst waiting for our table. Service okay considering it was a busy night. Food - great flavours! Only complaints are that the Tom yum soup only included 3 prawns, but was delicious, and that the chicken in the pandan chicken dish didn't seem to be of the greatest quality, but... More

We went here after looking on trip advisor where to go to next and found this little place. Not what I thought looking at the exterior of the place. But decent sized menu catering to many different cuisines. We had the pork dumplings as a shared starter they were delicious and we had Thai green curry and massaman curry. Both... More
