No trip to Darwin is complete without watching the sunset at one of Darwin's three clubs but the question is always which one. Although the other clubs all have something unique to offer, it is the Darwin Trailer Boat Club that is the best when...it comes to quality of food, drink and service. It does not offer sailing lessons or the informality of ski club but it definitely has the best food delivered quickly along with one of the best spots in Darwin to watch the sunset. Number 1 place to take any visitor to or just go yourself as a local to enjoy a wonderful dinner over sunset.More

Welcoming club, with large terrace area overlooking the Bay. Good menu, lots of gluten free items, and well priced. The grilled barramundi was excellent. East to while away a few relaxing hours at this venue. Visited a couple of times over our one week stay...in Darwin.More

Our first time to Darwin and where would you rather be?!?! Absolutely stunning sunset and a lovely ambience at the club. A dozen oysters kilpatrick were delicious the the local caught barramundi! Wow it was just divine! The barramundi was cooked perfectly and the flavours...were perfect. We all had it and loved it! Great night and we’ll definitely be back!!More

I was told by many to go here. Well the view and the place is sensational. Beautiful and atmosphere is fantastic. Now let’s get onto the food. Salad bar with all meals. Ha, what a joke, a potato salad, rice salad, Cous cous and a...spinach leaf salad with tomato and onion is not a salad bar! What about some bread ? No. Garlic king banana prawns, pff smallest garlic prawns I’ve ever had and only a few. My mate got a 400gm T-bone for dinner. Well if it weighed a 200gm wi the bone in then I’m a few grams out! Beautiful place but the food doesn’t come up to what is advertised.More

We enjoyed catching up with friends here and were very impressed by the standard fish and chip meal. A delicious white, fleshy fish - threadfin salmon - in a light tempura batter.

Don’t confuse the Trailer Boat Club with the sailing club next door or the nearby ski club- the DTBC is the place to go. Casual atmosphere in large beer garden, great food and spectacular sunsets. Make sure we pop in anytime we are in Darwin.

Held a party for my 2 year old. Had at least 30 people attend. We were reserved 4 tables, great space/location, right next to the park and swimming pool. I ordered 3 platters, one being a gluten free platter. The food was exceptional, we were...really happy with all 3 platters. Will definitely be returning, I found the staff really accommodating 😊More

I should give the club a one star to keep you all away 😊 This is a must visit if you come to Darwin. Great view and atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and good food. If you have children, there is a play area and...pool. This is the essence of Darwin.More

During my stay in Darwin I attended the DTBC many times. The atmosphere, drinks, food and view are all out of this world. However where this place truly excels is the staff, who were all brilliantly friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Alex, the owner,...Gio a wonderfully friendly manager who makes the perfect aperol spritz, and the bar team, TJ, Tom, James and KC to name just a few. All the best to the whole team and if I'm ever in Darwin, I will be sure to visit again, and I recommend anyone else visiting Darwin to do the same.More

Love this place and when we lived in town ate here twice a week. Food is always decent. Love the Barra Tacos, Creamy Garlic Prawns, Scotch Fillet. Came for lunch with my daughter on Monday. Love the friendly atmosphere and drinks are not too expensive....Million dollar views. Interesting wildlife too! Saw a shark thrashing around in the shallows and a black footed tree rat one time.More

After being members here for over 20 years, it's disappointing when on 4 separate occasions in a 2week period, your favourite drink is STILL out of stock🙄 🤷‍♀️The menu choice and actual food is very average. Nothing exciting in the salad bar.

Had lunch at the trailer boat club yesterday. My friend had the snapper (fish) which was so dry and unpalatable - perhaps that’s why the cook/chef smothered it in grated green apple. Gross. I had the chilli prawns. There was nothing chilli about what I...was served - which appeared to be swimming in an oil slick. I presume the two slices of bread was some king of gastronomical disaster cleanup tool for the oil slick. The prawns were soft and not unlike cotton wool in texture. I managed to eat 3 until my reasoning kicked in and persuaded me that I was under no obligation to eat anymore. Both plates were left barely touched. What a waste of money. Not cheap either. So that’s four times in twos years that I’ve eaten here and each times I’ve been disappointed in the food. I’m just hoping that management takes note and does something about what can only be described as a far from tantalising rip off. At least the beer was cold.More
