This is a good spot for well-priced and well cooked seafood. Skip the batter and go for grilled, except maybe the calamari - which is excellent. Add a glass or two of wine and sit down and watch the sunset and the locals. Hard to beat for value.

We were over the moon with this place. It had a bit of a mixed bag of reviews so were unsure. But we are glad we tried it and will be back in a heart beat! People seem to complain about the price, however it is the cheapest take away fish and chips we have found yet (excluding the Barra... More

We went there for a sunset dinner as Darwin got a spectacular sunset. We ordered fish & chip but my wife said it was not that good as claimed by so many people. However it did offer a very good view of the sunset .

Fish and chips is nice when you finally get to order and wait another 45 min to get the order ready. Only one register and the person behind the counter has to apologise each time for the long wait. I suggest to get another register and get it all running smooth. Not sure if I will go back, not worth... More

I had high expectations going in as there were so many good reviews raving about this being the best fish and chips in Darwin. We tried the Barra and the Threadfin and were slightly disappointed with both, the batter was soggy as was the fish, although it did at least taste quite fresh. The chips weren't real chippy chips, more... More

Really good fish and chips, the batter isn't a horrible, hard, solid batter like some can be. The price was also good for a snapper, King Threadfin and half a portion of chips. However, I have rated La Beach as 3 stars because the service was seriously average. The lady who served me had some kind of problem explaining how... More

Best fish & chips in Darwin. Local fish only with daily specials depending on what the boats bring in. Awesome spot to watch the famous Darwin sunset.

Had dinner here for my wife's birthday last week.I would rate it "GREAT" and not very good but there isn't that option. Great location for a sunset dinner out on the grass with BYO grog.Fed 4 adults and 3 kids for just over a Darwin Dollar.106 bucks for fish and chips is a bit steep in my book but it... More

Nice to have good old fashioned fish and chips and be able to sit on a large grassed lawn and watch the sun set. This is a popular place and you usually have to wait in line just to order. However, the chefs are good and the food doesn't take too long to be ready. I had crumbed Barramundi, calamari... More
