The poke bowl I ordered was generous and delicious. It was full of fresh ingredients notwithstanding this remote location. The service was prompt and polite. Highly recommended in you are staying at Yulara.

Two visits. First was for coffee and cake and a bowl of soup. Mid afternoon only four tables occupied. Coffee came within minutes but was not even warm. Despite very few people around, soup for me and cake for my partner took 40 minutes to...arrive Pumpkin soup was thin and tasteless - even with heaps of salt and pepper added. Cheesecake was a small slab of commercially pre-prepared plastic/rubber. Went back the next night for dinner. Beer battered Barramundi is supposedly a house specialty. Mine arrived with thick batter externally burnt, but still with a layer of uncooked batter inside. Fish portion was tiny and barely warm inside. Greasy and disgusting. Chips had bern reheated so many times that they were hard all the way through. When I brought the quality of the food to the attention of the supervisor, the first reaction was a laugh. After a long consultation with the kitchen, the supervisor came back to offer a free dessert. Free plastic cheesecake - no way. They would not entertain the idea of a refund. Not what I would expect at a top tourist attraction marketed to a world audience.More

Great for kids, good service and bar, food was the standout with super fresh barramundi dish, crunchy chips and great little chicken poke bowl to boot. Well done guys!

This place gets very busy so be prepared for queues. The food was ok and the service was quick and timely when we were there. Staff were very nice and accommodating Has a reasonably good variety of food on the menu

Good service, menu is somewhat limited, ok when only staying a couple of nights at the resort. Limited drink selection, friendly staff, nothing exceptional but likewise nothing to complain about.

You're a captive audience at the resort so all the restaurants are expensive but this one was actually reasonably priced and the quality was good. Ate there a few times - at least once we were warned of a 40 minute wait for food so...we were able to decide if that suited or not.More

Went there twice hoping the second time for a better result. How wrong. First visit- Tea arrives 40 minutes before meal. Poached eggs like golf balls and when added to meal after not arriving as per order the bacon as good as raw. Second visit...- Tea was not what was ordered. Eggs again overcooked and we were charged for two meals instead of one. Poor delivery times, poor attention to customer order and very poor cooking. Not going back a third time. Learnt our lesson and proved the definition of insanity.More

Options of different dishes, quality of meal to serving time / customer service - this place pretty much ticked all boxes, considering its location and offering standards in remoteness. We didn't have much expectation but we actually liked it

Had dinner there, menu comprehensive reasonably priced. Drinks menu not quite as extensive as the hotel, but more than acceptable. Food quality good, service levels good, notwithstanding staff shortages.

We ate at Gecko's regularly during our stay at the resort. The breakfast menu was varied and reasonably priced, the lunch items catered for a wide variety of tastes and the same with the dinner menu. Highly recommend.

This is a busy bar/restaurant - recently opened up again. Food was ok. Tip: make sure the poached eggs are cooked properly! There was confusion on out first day. They would not serve us as we did not have a room key of any local...hotel. We were not able to check in until 3. Its not as if we drove 3200 klms to buy a drink guys! We eventually got a Manager and showed our reservation documents and were were 'allowed' to eat and drink there (we spent $200 so it was worth it for them!) It turns out that there are many new staff - still being trained- and this was a rule given to them (which they duly followed!) I'm sure things will sort themselvs out over time. The team are working hard and are very helpful. good luck going forward.More

After being disappointed by the next door noodle bar, we tried Gecko's Cafe for lunch the next day. Surprisingly, its pizza was really good. Well made and baked base with generous toppings. Comparing with other restaurants/dishes, the price was also quite reasonable and offer a...good value of money. My wife ordered pasta linguine which was also delicious.More
