The upstairs venue is spacious and light with attractive period fittings. Pleasingly quiet unlike so many restaurants where you have to shout over the music. Nobody offered to seat us, so we found a nice table by the window ourselves and perused the menu. We...More

We hired a function room for a work evening out, honestly the worst night ever. I arrived late as I had to park the van, had a single glass of wine and was separated from my group and singled out. Was told very impolitely to...More

If you want to risk your life dealing with Dodgy security , stay well away !!! Had the most notorious reputation in Sydney for trouble . Staff are extremely rude and I would border on profiling . Food is terrible. Drink is served in plastic...More

I have many fond memories of late nights and fun times at The Orient Hotel in my youth & as my daughter had recently moved to the area, I was keen to check out the hotel’s relatively recent renovation. The renovation is beautifully done and...More

We enjoyed having a drink and a light meal with friends here. We sat on the sunny patio area (the waitress pulled the roof panels over for us so it was not too sunny). We enjoyed the panko prawns and some fries.

My daughter's chicken was overcooked and dry. My wife's calamari was overcooked to a crisp texture. My barramundi was fine but served without chips. Disappointing average food at high prices. Go eleswhere.

Located in The Rocks, we stopped for a quick drink. We had spent a couple of hours walking around the markets and under the Harbour Bridge. Great location and good for people watching. Though we didn’t eat, the meals that came to other patrons looked...More

We were pleasantly surprised by the Orient Hotel. It has obviously been refurbished recently and they have done a nice job. Fairly standard pub fare on the menu. We both had fish and chips, there was plenty of food on the plate and well cooked...More

The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and
sailors from the old nation. As the oldest
neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone
streets host more than 100 heritage sites and
buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney,
Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi
“ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the
waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The
