I love Laksa and the Malaysian Laksa House does good Laksa. There is more than Laksa available and it is good for a meeting venue for catch up or business lunch. The staff were ok and the drinks adequate.

If your in a hurry and enjoy a good Laksa then give it a go. I had better but it was OK. Big serving ordered a combination plenty of everything except I got one lousy prawn.

Though I passed this restaurant many, many times, I have never visited it. So, last weekend decided to give it a try while taking my mum and kids to the city. My mum and I had one of the "specials" of Ipoh Hor Fun, oldest son had Nasi Lemak and another had the Hainanese Chicken Rice. The average prices were... More

Reliable food - good taste and very traditional Malaysian food. Specials usually outstanding.

Typical Malaysian street hawker food. Avoid the heatlamp trays, and order something fresh (wonton noodles, laksa) and you will get solid, but not spectacular food. It is cheap, which is hard to come by in the CBD.

The food is not fresh in dinner time! Most dishes are pre-cooked in the morning. During afternoon and dinner, some veggie dishes are off e.g. eggplant . The service is awful because they will not exchange or refund the bad food for the customer.

$7 for a meal is not bad at all. Oily and yet so yummy: the eggplant sambal or the fish sambal curry with rice are my staple favourites. Not good for the waist line, but what the heck, it's winter! Packed with office crowd at lunch time.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
