I recently went here for lunch and enjoyed a wonderful Bento box. My partner and I had two different boxes and enjoyed sharing our selections. The food was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The service was excellent too.

We have been visiting this restaurant each time we come to Sydney and yes this is our 15th year. The food is fantastic, staff are friendly and helpful and the service quite fast for a restaurant. Best to book as it fills up quite quickly.

Taken for lunch place is packed. The service attentive. My companion recommended the Daily special Bento box was that a treat. The food was sublime every mouthful was bliss. Cannot wait to go back as only around the corner and make my way through the menu. Food envy struck as plates passed the table.

If you appreciate good quality, fresh Japanese food then Masuya is a must visit. It's a terrific place for lunch - business or pleasure - in a warm, relaxed and comfortable setting. The menu is extensive offering a great range of well priced dishes including sushi, sashimi and tempura. Staff are friendly and highly attentive, with the service adding to... More

Usually crowded with family and business people. Very popular. If you dont like oyster (allergy), then you can ask to replace it with something else they can offer. (usually tofu). Seemingly managed by Japanese ... (not sure).

I've eaten sushi in Japan and this is as good as it gets in Sydney. Chef Toshi is a true master. I love to sit at the sushi bar for an authentic experience. Toro melts in your mouth. Love this place !!

Great Japanese places in the city, it's easily missed as its in the basement. Masuya offers a extensive menu and is great for groups, just make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment of being turned away. The sashimi 'melts in the mouth' - it's always fresh and of high quality, they really take their sushi/sashimi seriously. As far as... More

We had dinner here on a Saturday night and the place was packed. The food was excellent and the service.was good. Don't be fooled by the photos in the menu as the meals are all quite large. Just make sure you book.

Arrived at the airport and headed straight to the restaurant before checking in. Booked a table for 6 and we ordered a fair bit of dishes. A bottle of sake, a sashimi boat, hot pot plus additional servings of raw fish, oysters, squids and sushi. Sake was good, the sashimi was fresh and the hot pot excellent. The table arrangement... Fun place which was recommended by hotel concierge just a few blocks from many hotels in the Sydney CBD. I order multiple sushi dishes which were quickly prepared in fine fashion. There were so many great options to choose from so even if sushi isn't your choice it's a menu you can enjoy. The prices were quite reasonable. The service... More

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
