The restaurant is difficult to access by cab, as there are no drop zones at the end of the laneway down which it is located. We ate at a table situated on the second floor, where there was ample room, though the bare wood floor was a little noisy. We opened with a selection of Sydney rock oysters, served Kilpatrick... Steaks are cooked to perfection with a variety of sauces and trimmings. Service is excellent and fine dining atmosphere. They offer a solid wine selection. It’s a haven for businessmen at lunch to enjoy a steak and good glass of wine. There is a stuffed chicken dish or herb crusted barramundi with sweet potato chips as an alternative to the... More

Although it's not the cheapest option, Kingsleys is something of an institution and well worth a visit for an important client meeting. The steaks, as you would expect and fantastic and there is a huge range, including a 1kg T Bone whopper. I prefer the 400g sirloin myself and it was cooked to perfection and the sides, whilst simple where... More

Being a specialist, you cant really fault any of the steaks. We had a party of 10 and none of the steaks were cooked incorrectly. My ox steer tasted really beefy and went well with the bottle of 2008 wine. It was a long time since I last visited and the placed looked exactly the same. Service was a tad... More

We have been here twice in the last fortnight and both times have had delicious meals. The staff are very friendly and service is good. The atmosphere is also very good. The choice of steak is excellent, and there is a generous seafood offering too. The beef Wellington is to die for - unfortunately it was not available at our... More

Booked in for an early dinner as I wanted to see the Sydney Vivid light show. On entering the restaurant you do get a good feel about the place, it is a lovely old building. Friendly greeting and I was seated immediately with the waiter leaving me with the menu along with the wine list . I ordered a glass... More

Visited this restaurant last week. This was our first time there. We were arranged to a table on the upper floor. We ordered one starter and a Kilo T-bone steak. It took long time for the food to be served. Food was a bit overcooked. The waiters did not ask if we like some mustard for the steak. We got... More

Smart enough place in a historical building back from the street. The wife and I had to hunt for it as it is slightly tucked away. Bit on the snooty side and although my wife and I were well dressed for the occasion I got the impression that we had somehow intruded. Menu was fairly limited as was the wine... More

Was only in town for a 1 night but recommended this place from my concierge. Didn't disappoint, atmosphere was great and had a real vibe. The food was very tasty and recommendation from the waitress very good. Complimented by a Margaret river red which went down very well. Then the pecan sticky toffee pudding was superb. Will be back!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park.
