We had a business function and a private room downstairs. They had allocated us our own dedicated waiter and so service was good. The steaks and sides were up to scratch but they were missing a 250g option. My petite fillet was too small, overwhelmed by the chips on the plate. Reasonable craft beer selection and wines. Can highly recommend... More

I visited the Kingsleys Australian Steakhouse in July 2016 with 20 odd colleagues, almost all of whom were non-vegeterians. We had made a luncheon reservation. Being an Eggitarian, my host had specifically requested them for one vegeterian meal for me. While I cannot expect anything fancy as a Veg meal in a Steakhouse, my poor rating for the Kingsleys steakhouse... More

We sat upstairs with a candlelit setting. Ambiance was lovely with the convict style sandstone walls. Food was delicious and service was very attentive.

The restaurant is difficult to access by cab, as there are no drop zones at the end of the laneway down which it is located. We ate at a table situated on the second floor, where there was ample room, though the bare wood floor was a little noisy. We opened with a selection of Sydney rock oysters, served Kilpatrick... Steaks are cooked to perfection with a variety of sauces and trimmings. Service is excellent and fine dining atmosphere. They offer a solid wine selection. It’s a haven for businessmen at lunch to enjoy a steak and good glass of wine. There is a stuffed chicken dish or herb crusted barramundi with sweet potato chips as an alternative to the... More

Although it's not the cheapest option, Kingsleys is something of an institution and well worth a visit for an important client meeting. The steaks, as you would expect and fantastic and there is a huge range, including a 1kg T Bone whopper. I prefer the 400g sirloin myself and it was cooked to perfection and the sides, whilst simple where... More

Being a specialist, you cant really fault any of the steaks. We had a party of 10 and none of the steaks were cooked incorrectly. My ox steer tasted really beefy and went well with the bottle of 2008 wine. It was a long time since I last visited and the placed looked exactly the same. Service was a tad... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
