I love Le Pelican! I've been walking past this cute little restaurant for years and a year ago finally decided to try it out, based on a recommendation from a friend. I have been back numerous times. It's $50 for two courses, or $60 for three with the option to BYO or they have a great variety of French wines... More

We live not far from le pelican and to be honest being French I don't often bother eating French on Sydney. Each time I have tried le pelican it was packed but this time they had a table for us! We were not disappointed. A little expensive and with a few extra but the quality was great. The bouillabaisse was... More

A couple of mates and I decided to go for a nice meal and night out and with some research ended up at Le Pelican. Being not an adventurous eater, I struggled somewhat with the menu but stuck with the duck and the chicken and had a great meal. The breads were excellent as well and the service was good... More

Either the other reviews here are possibly fake or something has changed dramatically in the kitchen here. We had a very poor meal: - Escargot: tasteless and deep fried in breadcrumbs - Pate: a bland terrine with no evidence of fois gras accompanied with a roll which possibly came from Woolworths - Duck: overcooked and rubbery - Bouillabaise: bland, stale... We booked a table for 6 people at Le Pelican to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday and had a terrific night. Small, interesting menu, great flavours and generous helpings. Service was very good and the lovely room had a great ambience. 3 courses for $60 was amazing value for food of this standard and BYO was a huge plus. Thanks... More

Great spot for lunch and dinner; it is nice to sit in their courtyard on a sunny day though. Food is great, they have some lighter mediterranean style dishes too that work well at lunch. Last visit's fish dish was let down by a slightly salty potato mille-feuille. Service is very friendly though.

Went to this establishment at 8.15pm and was told the kitchen had closed. So went on the website and saw that the kitchen closed at 8.30pm not 8.15pm. Extremely disappointing and the host at the front of house was very rude about it. Shame because it looks like a lovely place with a good menu. But because of the service... More

A really lovely place with an atmosphere that takes you to France. The Bouillabaisse was magnificent - broth was amazing. The 2 or 3 course pricing is really reasonable and it is BYO which is excellent!

We visited this restaurant on the way home and thought lets try it. Upon being seated, we were asked if we would like some water, 15 minutes passed and we were asked again. I ordered the Lamb Rack, when it came out it was cold and hadn't been cooked properly. My partner ordered the Risotto and was horrified, we both... More

This restaurant was a traditional french offering, with an unforgettable outdoor garden experience, and a very sweet old brown dog who slowly roamed around and greeted everyone. The steak was premium, and the wine pairing recommendation was much appreciated. Great value - and we will certainly return if we ever visit the area again.
