The restaurant is actually inside a bar/lounge. The sushi bar provided most seating around the bar, plus a few smaller tables next to the windows. We went on a weeknight around 6pm & didn't wait long to be seated @ the sushi bar. Later in the evening, patrons waited in bar/lounge for available tables. Because of the limited seating &... More

Went for a quiet dinner with my gf. Relaxing, elegant if slightly pretentious place. Probably too relaxing as dishes took too long to arrive, if they arrived at all. In all they missed 4 items we ordered, the final straw was waiting 30 minutes for a scoop of cream (our dessert - which never arrived), when the waitress asked if... More

Sat up at the counter at this stylish Sydney sushi restaurant. It's been there for years and they have the confidence to stick with the same approach. Efficient service. With a smile. Salt and pepper cuttlefish was spectacular. Black cod just wonderful. If you pick carefully, you have a range of delicious flavours and finish without feeling at all stuffed.... More

Food: The knife work, mixture of flavors, and quality of fish was all excellent Drink: excellent selection of Sake Service: Very attentive service despite the busy nature of the restaurant Ambiance: A little noisy, as expected of a casual sushi restaurant next to a bar. More for going out with friends than a family experience. Value: The prices are online,... More

The Style, the Setting, the Staff, the Service - but most of all - the Food. It's all sublime - just like a Japanese Restaurant should be.

Popped in here for dinner on a Friday night with no booking and lucky enough grabbed s seat at the kitchen bar, which is a great place to sit. You can see the sushi chefs in action. The sushi is delicious, really really good! Everything g is so fresh, good quality and tasty. Make sure to ask for the complimentary... More

Sushi-e hahigh ceilings, highly comfortable armchairs and sofas and good separation between table. All in all it is one of my very favourite restaurant spaces in Sydney. It can be buzzy without being noisy and is a perfect place for lunch. The food on the whole is excellent but it can be spotty. The sashimi is brilliant. I do not... More

A fabulous experience from first bite to last. The fresh sashimi, the juicy chicken, the tangy pork, the succulent scallops. Chef Ura-San is simply amazing. Domo Arigato.

We visited Sushi-e for the second time and this time was for dinner. The food was amazing, great selection and very fresh. Reasonably priced for the size and quality. Drinks were also well prepared. They did forget one of our rolls but were very fast to rectify and also make up with complimentary items.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
