Popped in here for dinner on a Friday night with no booking and lucky enough grabbed s seat at the kitchen bar, which is a great place to sit. You can see the sushi chefs in action. Sushi-e hahigh ceilings, highly comfortable armchairs and sofas and good separation between table. All in all it is one of my very favourite restaurant spaces in Sydney. It can be buzzy without being noisy and is a perfect place for lunch. The food on the whole is excellent but it can be spotty. The sashimi is brilliant. I do not... More

A fabulous experience from first bite to last. The fresh sashimi, the juicy chicken, the tangy pork, the succulent scallops. Chef Ura-San is simply amazing. Domo Arigato.

We visited Sushi-e for the second time and this time was for dinner. The food was amazing, great selection and very fresh. Reasonably priced for the size and quality. Drinks were also well prepared. They did forget one of our rolls but were very fast to rectify and also make up with complimentary items.

Had a quick lunch with a work colleague and it was great , food is a touch up on normal sushi and dish sizes are good , a little expensive but a good experience and is always one that impresses.

Can only add to the fulsome praise of other reviewers. The sushi is perfection, especially the soft shell crab. Met the exacting standards of my Japanese trained chef of a husband. Only problem was we over-ordered, the pork belly, although delicious, was severely a bridge too far! It was much larger than we envisaged.

This restaurant has a great sushi bar and tables for those who prefer not to embarrass themselves with chopsticks in front of the chefs! The sushi, sashimi and rolls are superb. The waitstaff are lovely and helpful (thank you Qwan) and the fish is incredibly fresh! The sashimi plate we had came close to just melting in our mouths. I'd... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
