One of the best dining experiences for us. Fresh, beautifully presented, taste was incredible! You really must try! Chef was interactive and beers were yum! Can't wait to get back! Thank you sushi-e 🙌🏼

Came here for a quick dinner without reservation and they seated me with my promise that I'll finish in 30 minutes. I got oysters, some handpicked nigiri, and the wagyu beef nigiri. I still dream about that nigiri. Must try!

First time at Sushi Bar. Tried lots including soft Shell Crab, Salmon and Wagyu Beef. Waitresses were very helpful with selections. We had a family Birthday and we all had a great time.

The menu is stale and could do with some more variety and more choice. The scene is more impressive than the quality of food.

I've been eating at Sushi-e for close to ten years and love it. Definitely my favourite Japanese place to eat in Sydney. Recommend sitting at the bar to watch the chefs at work. Great location for business lunches or dinner & drinks. Highly recommended!

Great food, great service and a great atmosphere! Friends and I decided to eat here after hearing a few things about the restaurant, we are so glad we trusted everyone's judgement and dined here. The service was excellent - the staff are so personable and so friendly, they really impacted the dining experience. The food came out so quickly, which... More

Unable to get into Mr Wongs for the 4th attempt at a time to suit us (because they won't take bookings for less than 6 persons) it was suggested we try Sushi-e. A small restaurant area with only a few tables and bar seating. There was a large lounge area as you walk in. The service we received was excellent,... More

What a great restaurant. Fantastic bar and food area, what a great location. I got to sit at one of the lovely tables rather than at the sushi bar. Brilliant sushi - prawn, tuna then Balmain bug tempura. What a great meal.

This restaurant is on the 4th floor above the Establishment (which also looked like a happening place). So, it was a little hard to find. Sushi e has a good size sushi bar and the rest of the restaurant kind of looks like a lounge with comfortable seating around smallish tables. I was by myself so that limited the opportunity... More

Stopped in here on a Tuesday night to grab a quick bite. The Sushi bar is hidden on the 4th floor which shares the space with another bar. The design and service were excellent and I was glad I was able to visit this establishment while in town. I ordered the Sashimi plate and a few nigiri pieces that came... More

Imagine you're in Tokyo dining at an enclave of modern Japanese expression. At the centre of a huge marble bar you watch head chef, Nobuyuki Ura, and his team serenely at work, precisely turning fresh fish into edible works of art. Welcome to sushi e. Adjoining the chic cocktail lounge Hemmesphere on Establishment's fourth floor, Sushi e is one of the few authentic sushi bars in Sydney and enjoys a dedicated following of sushi fans around the world - including Tokyo.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
