Glass Brassiere was the setting for a wine tasting evening. 20 diners and the various representatives from the importers etc so about 26 people. Was initially concerned about being tucked away in the restaurant but it worked well! The staff managed the evening seamlessly and without intrusion. The food was great, thoughtfully matched to the Chilean wines and well executed!... More

My wife and I celebrated our Wedding Anniversary with lunch at Glass. The food was amazing. We shared the whole duck and it was perfectly cooked, and the included vegetables were excellent. Service was very efficient, but was unfortunately very impersonal. Not once were we asked how we enjoyed our meal, by our waiter or by the lady at the... More

Had a business lunch here and the service was good in the beginning. Food was very nice, well presented and tasty. The truffle fries were great as a side!! Towards the end of the meal it felt like every waiter in the place was clearing our table and rushing us out!

The service by Joseph was very good and the sommelier guided us to an excellent wine. We and our guests enjoyed the meals. The entree of Balmain bugs was excellent, the fish voted very good and the steaks were very good. Desserts rated highly too. The restaurant certainly has a buzz to it, if not a little noisy. Although we... More

A great experience of fine dining. Bar was par excellent with hundreds of wines. Miss the seven course degustation menu as we did not inform during reservation. The young man from US was an excellent trainee who served us with passion. Enjoyed oysters as well as chicken liver among others. Desert was aWesome and a truly fine dining venue.

This is a nice environment in the heart of the city, the staff are pleasant however the pricing is not justified by this or the food. A first time visitor and I would not choose to go there again. The menu is a nice selection however it is difficult to be comfortably selective when the low end prices for mains... More

Wonderful evening in all respects - an amazing wine list of 1000 wines. Paella for two was a standout. The atmosphere and view of the QVB lit up at night made the restaurant one of the best I've been to.

I have now reviewed Glass for the 3rd time, I am starting to run out of superlatives for this restaurant. I enjoy it so much, whether you are a Sydney sider or come from the other side of the world, if you are coming to Sydney - book about 2-4 weeks before you come, depending on day of week and... More

We had Dinner at Luke Mangan's Glass Brasserie at the Sydney Hilton, last night. This is the second Luke Mangan Restaurant we've tried (the other was on a Cruise Ship). Glass Brasserie is truly Fine Dining. We had the 7 Course Degustation ($145 pp), with Matching Wine ($95 pp). So with other incidentals you won't get much change from $600... More

I have been coming to Glass for many years now and it never disappoints. The food is always consistently good and the serving sizes are perfect. The staff are friendly although service can be a little slow especially when the restaurant is very busy. Favourite dish is the snapper crispy prawns with the Thai broth. Fantastic

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
