Went here with a group on Friday 17 February to the restaurant on the mid level. The food was absolutely exceptional and fantastic value for money. Some of the group are hard to please but everyone was very impressed. We had a mix of mains and tapas plates, as well as cocktails. Every dish was a winner. Just wow.

Ordered lentil and chicken curry, which came without the chicken. Absolutely no chicken. Even the waiter agreed and was feeling sorry but the manager was very rude.

I flew up from Melbourne to see the band Slide McBride at the Arthouse Hotel which was a great venue for live music except the very high ceiling does cause sound problems and could do with some flying saucer sound deadeners similar to Royal Albert Hall Anyway that's my thoughts Slide Mcbride always good and so was the bar service... We went for dinner on a Thursday night and were surprised it was very quiet. After ordering our drinks and meals we knew why - very overpriced drinks (could the serving be any smaller?) and chicken parmigiana that was almost inedible - deep fried to a dark brown crust and some tasteless melted cheese, a smidgen of tomato sauce and... A fancy enough hotel with lots of space, reasonable selection of beers and average pub food. Not a bad option for lunch, but nothing which really outstanding either.

Came here for a lunch with 3 other colleagues and waited 1-1.5 hours for food to arrive. Saw a number of other group also complaining. Food itself was fine but wouldn't recommend based on the waiting time.

Always have a good time here. Good customer service, live music on a Wednesday night, chill outdoor area which is great for after work drinks. No happy hour which sucks, particularly considering they err on the pricy side, however still a good place for a few bevs.

Review is based on lunch Nice big bar with lots of interesting art hanging on the walls. Fairly quiet when we were there but good service and reasonable prices. Food offerings typical pub menu but certainly big portions Situated right in city centre and CBD, I would imagine this place is really buzzing after work most nights

This is a great place for a drink and I particularly like the Attic. Dropped in last night for a drink and snack with friends and ordered Pizza in the downstairs bar. One Gluten Free and the other standard. Half an hour later we were still waiting for Pizza. Noticed a waiter wandering aimlessly around the tables with Pizza in... More

Had a recent lunch catch up here. It was a good sized space and luckily walk ins were the norm as we hadn't booked. The food was pretty good and my steak was perfectly cooked. The staff were reasonably friendly however in other pubs througout the CBD service was certainly not as great here. Also testing the sound system during... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
