I dine here quiet often, and it is always busy! but its definitely worth it! The food is authentic, price is very decent for the quality of food and the staff are friendly! - the casual vibe keeps the restaurant up-beat. I highly recommend their tom sahp for a cold winters day and their king prawn & vermicelli dish! and... More

Came for dinner on recommendation by friend. Booked table but still waited for 10 mins. Long queue of people with no booking. The menu is quite extensive with the usual western favourites. The food is tasty and can be spicy. As a previous review said this is westernised Thai food. It is not a criticism. The staff are friendly and... More

If you come to sydney this will be a place where you want to eat for an authentic thai food. But the line is always long and the place is not too clean.

This branch of Chat Thai in Thaitown is very popular but we won't return. Perhaps their popularity has led them to take their customers for granted. We took friends for lunch recently and was horrified by the angry and aggressive staff who have dispensed with any effort in customer service. We are not the only ones now going elsewhere. Disgraceful.

The food here has been heavily westernized but still attracts long lines of dinners. It is a great option if you want to claim you go for Thai food with friends who are not used to the strong flavors and spices of the Thai cuisine. Food is nice although not so true to its origins but the place can get... More

This place is pretty small but their food tastes really good! The wanton mee is available only after 10pm. They also have some desserts and fried snacks which can be bought and take out. Portion of food can be big for some asians.

Best Thai food ever! Went for food-craze and almost wanted to try everything in the menu (luckily -or sadly- we were a very small group so we only tried some). Sticky rice was surely the winner!

We were at Chat Thai on our recent holiday to Sydney. Long queues outside & we had to wait 30 minutes to get in (on a Thursday). The interiors were nice - rustic & modern. But the food was good without being great ; did not feel the full flavors coming through, though quality of ingredients were very good. Wonder... More

We had a wonderful dinner here. There was a wait of about 20 mins and very busy and full of people but staff were friendly. My friend is gf and this was no problem. Everything was exceptional and full of flavours and included kaffir leaves coriander etc which unfortunately not every Thai place bothers with. It was the best Thai... More
