Over the years we have dined here and the food and service never fail to deliver. Fresh and exciting variety of seafood delivered in a chic setting with under table and chair soundproofing enhancing the ease of conversation. And did I mention the views? Superlatives fail me. And the soufflé too.

My Sydney based friend booked us in for a Tuesday night dinner to catch-up and the view was amazing but it was only a $10 Uber from the city. We had a lovely glass of Jamsheed Riesling with our dinner - I had the lovely mulloway with fennel, blood orange and shellfish oil with a side of fried Brussels sprouts,... More

I've been to The Boathouse a few times over the years and have had some memorably good meals and good times there. However, a little birthday lunch with my wife yesterday was seriously overshadowed by the treatment by our waiter. When I asked for a wine recommendation he obliged, but I misheard his reply and thought he'd said he didn't... More

Fantastic evening, great oysters and prawns followed by a Snapper Pie to die for. Service exemplary and definitely to be recommended.

Lovely views towards the centre and west of town, situated just on the water , you'll need a car to get there. However, parking is easy to find in the area and free! The menu is seafood. Cooked to please, with some twists of tangy, smoky and subtle pacific flavours. Sizes are large enough, and two dishes are more han... More

This restaurant is not fancy. Lights are recycled, chairs and tables are basic but the food and the location are fantastic. The menu is not huge but a great range, specializing in seafood as you would expect from the name. Vegetarian choices were available. Wine list is extensive and a little different to the norm. Service was excellent, food perfect.... More

Four of us attended the Boathouse yesterday for a birthday lunch. The restaurant is nestled perfectly into the harbour with a pretty perfect view; ANZAC bridge on your left, the Pyrmont skyline directly in front of you and the Sydney Fish market on your right shoulder. Starters were $27 each, and while not expensive compared with average fine dining lunch... More

Oysters, wine & service excellent, position fabulous....felt like we were paying for view. Main courses snapper pie & flounder nothing out of the box. Mains overpriced for what was delivered. Would put it down to experience, but, wouldn't go back.

Thank Janell H

Staying in Glebe

Neighborhood Profile
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
