The pub offers great food and good beer - what more could you want from a pub location in Newtown . . ?

Recently had lunch with friends at this restaurant. It was recommended by friends as the steaks, particularly the rib-eye fillet was a draw card for it size and value. Unfortunately they were out of fillet and the staff recommended a Sirloin. It was the worst steak I have ever attempted to eat. It was not cocked as requested and was... More

Dropped in for lunch and a drink and we had a great time. We were greeted warmly on arriving and we really liked the look of the menu which offered a great range from burgers to barramundi to tapas through to Four hour confit pork belly w crispy skin, seared scallops, almond cream tartlets, sweet corn purée, cherry tomatoes, asparagus... have lunch here semi-regularly with daughter & granddaughter (wish they had a lift, its getting hard to get a heavy kid and stroller up the stairs!) Food is always good, drinks reasonable and great variety (the only place i've found that serves the wonderful Italian La Vendetta Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese) This weeks visit was the best yet! Glazed salmon... More

The Cooper has come up a long way since the last time I was here. There's a good range of standard pub grub, and a range of higher end meals, with nothing over $30. Food and drinks for 4 came to $130 - very good value. Service is good, and it's a nice place to sit.

A great place! We ordered a barramundi from the specials and it was unexpectedly good for a pub. A nice garden bar on the second floor.

The service at the bar is welcoming and friendly! The pub food is great for the price ($12 steak or schnitty) and Adam at the downstairs bar is a total champ!! We will be back for sure :)

We had lunch at Coopers today and it was the best yet. The upstairs dining is always a great option with a relaxing vibe, great staff and excellent service. We have had tapas many times in the past but decided on a meal each off the menu this time around. I had the grilled fig, burghul salad with the chicken... More

anytime we eat here its been good, prices are okay for Newtown. staff are good and the upstairs is clean with good vibe in the outside area. the one thing that drives madam nuts is the spelling mistake in the big painting of King street on the back wall.

Hi Charles, thanks for the review! Great to hear our staff are doing a good job and that you enjoy our rooftop courtyard - it's a beautiful space. How funny, I have never noticed a spelling mistake on that paining, I would love to know whereabouts! Next time you come in maybe you can point it out to us. Cheers... More
