We had the degustation meal with matching wine. It was really enjoyable. Great flavours and party in your mouth for nearly every dish. The salt and pepper prawns were a Devine way to start. The wine went well. We went home full and enjoyed every dish. The service was good but possibly not 5 star. Lets say 4.

A busy place, laid back atmosphere with a nice view out over Circular Quay, but the food was very good and got the thumbs up from all our party at dinner.

On Darling Harbor. Large menu. Reservations a must. Great food and cocktails. We loved the prawn starters/ small plates with some terrific Malayan laksa style sauce. The chicken Kapitan was also very good. Nice view of the harbor though almost all the tables by the windows were for two people. Service was very good and attentive for this large restaurant.... Let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of spicy food. If you are, then this is a good place. Malaya is about tasty Asian specialty dishes, they each get the tastebuds firing. I did find the meals salty, the portions are good when sharing as a group, plenty to go around. Nice view overlooking darling harbour as... More

They accidentally gave us the wrong food and when we asked about it they made the right meal as fast as possible and... More

Was taken here by a client the first time, but have been back since with friends and absolutely loved it. The location is brilliant (overlooking Darling Harbour), the service is fabulous - and the food is excellent. We honestly haven't ordered anything we don't like yet. We definitely plan on going again - would definitely recommend it.

We made a last minute reservation and luckily got a table on a Friday night. The atmosphere was very lively and the open kitchen gave it an authentic feel. The food was very delicious, however a little too oily for my liking. The service was decent, although we did wait until after we had our starters for our cocktails to... More

We arrived at 7pm to find the place booked out. They found a place for us if we could be out by 8pm. We asked tge waitress for suggestions and went with Massaman Beef and Eggplant. Both signature dishes. They arrived promptly. There were 13 cooks in the kitchen. The food was very tasty and we recommend those two dishes...you... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
