I hadn't a good experience in Hingara Restaurant. Apart from the cheap prices I found: poor service, very poor quality food, dirty place and bumpy table. Really I didn't appreciate it.

Was really nice restaurant, got to sit outside on the street and watch the people walk through Chinatown. Food was really good but the service was awful. Took forever to come get out order and then they practically threw the food on the table and then we had to go and sort the bill out inside because the Waitress didn't... More

One of the best Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Went after a longtime but the food is still excellent. Singapore Chilli Prawns.. must try.

I went to this restaurant frequently with my parents from 1978 as they raved about how good the food was. I recently returned to Sydney and had dinner there with my partner and the food was really good. A restaurant that has consistently served good food that long?... speaks for itself. Admittedly, it's not known for it's decor, but I'm... More

As a group of 5 we chose this place after asking a random person at our hotel where to eat in Chinatown. We ordered a large variety of the menu and were certainly not disappointed at all with the service, portion sizes and pricing. A brilliant meal and definitely will venture back there one day.

We chose the restaurant because it looked spacious & comfortable with a nice outdoor area as it was a warm night. Unfortunately, the service here isn't great. We had to call over waitresses to order drinks throughout the night as they don't stop even if they are passing your table. There were apparent kitchen staff bringing out meals too who... More

This restaurant is in the heart of China Town, Sydney. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was lovely, particularly the salt and pepper squid with chilli, which was a favourite. The service was quick and friendly. Would happily eat here again.

After walking for ages we settled on this restaurant because it was really busy - it didn't let us down. The food was great, service was ordinary but friendly.

Visited for the first time after seeing a great many customers. After waiting 20 minutes our order was finally taken. Given that we pay $20 per main meal, I expect better service.

I used to enjoy yum cha and dinners at the Hingara over forty years ago, but the recent visit failed to replicate the experience of the earlier times. The first thing we noticed in contrast to visits in the past, was that, apart from the staff, the only Chinese face in the restaurant was my dear spouse's. The restaurant seems... More
