This is a great place to eat outdoors, and enjoy the views and delicious fresh oysters. Even in winter they have the heaters going and it's comfortable. They have good fish choices too.

Rainy Friday night in Sydney. Decided to try the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar. Only tables outside but umbrellas, heaters and blankets provided if you need them. Wait staff were friendly and attentive without being in your face. Seafood was incredible. Fresh, succulent and not too expensive given the restaurants location. Would highly recommend a visit.

Totally enjoyed the scenery and food . Atmosphere was relaxed and service good. We enjoyed pipis and tiger prawns .The stand out were the smoked scallops...yum. Possibly a little over priced but hey youre on holiday go for it. We would recommend this restaurant .

This place has a lovely location with a great view of the harbour, which is perfect in summer. There is outside seating only, so in Winter it does get quite cold, despite the heaters provided by the restaurant. The food was good (we had crab linguine and salmon), but I think the price was not justified by the quality. I... More

We chose this place based on the reviews for a late lunch as they serve throughout the day, which many other restaurants in Sydney do not do. We had a table with view on Harbour Bridge which was beautiful. As starters we had oyster which i can recommend. As mains the scallops (which are under the starters) and are among... More

Very good little restaurant. Really good service on a busy Saturday night. The Trio of Oysters were TOP SHELF. Enjoyed the Grilled Barramudi and the sides. Just could not fault this little gem on Sydney harbour

We stopped by this place for lunch on our first day in Sydney and had no regrets! One advantage this place has is that is right on the water looking at Harbour bridge, that means we didn't have to look at people pass by which was the case with most of the eateries on this line. Fast service and fresh... More

We had dinner here just before a show at the Opera House. On arrival we were directed to our table by a very helpful young waiter. Heaters were set up and you could hardly feel the cold. The location on the Harbour was just fabulous. The food was fine, and the waiter was very engaging. a funny smell was present... More

We had a lunch at the Oyster Bar and the views are outstanding but the food was not as good as it has been previously. Beside the range of oysters available the menu was fairly ordinary. The service was not as good as previously either, maybe the chef has changed or ownership???

With so many choices around the waterfront we decided to take an early lunch - The menu was tempting with dishes ranging from barramundi, wagyu , pulled pork, oysters and a comprehensive wine list. As we wanted to enjoy the winter sun and views we opted for a table waterside. We both had thew Wagyu burger and fries and a... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
