The menu offers a huge variety of food , I asked for nachos, calamari and ribs to share , the nachos wasn't that good they put like tomato sauce or something that tasted sweet, calamari was just average but good taste and the ribs were just delicious. After that we asked for pancakes as dessert and were really good as... More

The food was great. Hard to get a seat and ssrvice was a bit slow. The food arrived ok but not all together then when went to pay had to line up and wait for someone to man the checkout. The food pictures are way different from the food. They also tried to clean up before we finished without asking

Open 24/7 this is always a place to go if you are hungry. We stopped in for pizza and chips in the mid afternoon when many places around the Rocks were not serving food between lunch and dinner. Nice friendly service, good food at a fair price was just what we wanted.

Everyone told us to go eat here and we were not disappointed. Each of our meals were excellent and the service was great.

I have to admit, iv been a couple of times.. its not a bad place to get a late night meal but in terms of price and value for money its quite expensive for average food! Certainly not terrible but you really have to pick the right dish to feel you got your money's worth.

I brought friends here to get something fresh and tasty. Service was particularly average and the waitress has no idea what was on the menu. When the food arrived all 3 plates hadn't been washed properly, the strawberries were as hot as the sun and the ice cream was so small it was hardly worth putting on the plate. Very... More

Went for dinner as it was one of the few places open late on the Rocks. The pancakes are very heavy, so pancakes on their make a big meal! The place needs renovation!

Celebrating 40 years in business (2015) Pancakes on the Rocks is a Sydney institution and a must try if all you want is a simple, unadulterated comfort food fix. Service was average and the upstairs area we sat in was a bit dated and dark but in a strange way it did not detract from the star of the show... More

The pancakes are the best!! My friend and I ate there twice during the week that we were there. The rest of the food was just okay. The service was also pretty average.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
