Our first night in Sydney wandering through the rock we decided to try this place as it seemed a popular choice. Food was ok and wine was lovely but the service a joke. First we were brought the wrong bottle of wine. Then the starters came but only one set of cutlery. I chased the waitress to ask for some,... More

This is not an authentic Italian restaurant. It services mainly tourists and offers a very basic menu that is not executed well. It's a shame as the location is good. Very average pizza dough and no wood fired oven in sight. I would not go back nor would I recommend it to anyone that wants quality over quantity.

Oh my god so glad we found this place tucked up in the back of the rocks. We had a 3 course dinner and it was amazing. Soup of the day and bruschetta both rich in flavour and just beautiful. Sangria was also amazing and we were all blown away by the flavour. Pizza or pasta you pick we had... More

We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate the birthday of a recently passed loved one. It was cold and wet, but we were seated under a canopy with heaters and made very comfortable. The staff were very attentive with service, for the 5 of us (adults and teenagers). The food was excellent and met with our expectations, we all... More

Pizza isn't an Italian pizza, it seems like a frozen pizza bought at the supermarket and heat it up in the oven. I've never eaten a worse pizza...and I've paid 24.90$ for a large one but it was absolutely normal size. If you want to taste a good pizza, don't chose this restaurant!

Had a lovely Sunday morning at The Rocks and enjoyed a lovely pizza here before we caught a train back to Parramatta.. would recommend the pizzas ... not too thick and crusty.

This place has a fantastic ambience, we sat outside next to a big rock cliff. There are plenty of covered awnings decorated with lights which makes it feel very pleasant. Two musicians played music which was perfect, not too loud and very in keeping. The food is ok, although not very imaginative - it caters very much to the mass... More

We went to Caminetto located in the Rocks three times during our trip to Sydney having breakfast. We always ordered the 'Big Brekkie' with 2 eggs, 2 sausages, some bacon peaces, 2 toast slices and a grilled tomato for 15.90$ including a drink (coffee, water, juice). Well-prepared and tasty dishes served by friendly staff. The place to be, if you... More

Been here 2 times now on different visits to Sydney. The food and service is great, a nice bottle of red with some delicious food followed by dessert and coffee. We'll be back next time we visit Sydney.

Food. Service. Atmosphere. This restaurant has it all. Four adults and 3 1/2 year old had a great experience and recommend it for all of the above. P. S. Strolling harp and guitar music was a real plus on Saturday night.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
