Not the greatest pizza I've ever had but the service was fast and friendly, they didn't try and rush us out. Overall good value for money in a city that's not cheap. I'd go again.

Great little Italian restaurant carved out of The Rocks. I had Gnocchi and my husband had Lasanga and they were both great. They had 2 men playing harp and guitar. Lovely place.

I was walking around the rocks area and hitting a few pubs. Having difficulty finding the place I was looking for (to try kangaroo pizza) but after walking around in circles and having not eaten anything after having a couple beers already, I decided to eat here. I did end up with pizza but just regular one haha. It was... More

Over the years we have returned to this establishment for good wholesome Italian fare. This time very disappointed food was nowhere near good enough to rate mention. Scallopine de funghi should have been in a creamy sauce which turned out to be overpowered by butter. The broccoli was over salted and altogether a meal that was far from enjoyed. The... More

Our friends recommended this restaurant to us, and it did not disappoint! We ordered a dinner for two with 3 pasta dishes (gnocchi with pesto, fettuccine bolognese, and pasta with ham and pea cream sauce), salad and sangria. In pricey Sydney, it was a very reasonably priced dinner. The food was delicious! We ate on the patio in The Rocks... More

Had breakfast here - we were just walking by and decided to stop. Small menu- we all had "the big breakfast" and it was great value for the $$ and it included a latte. Would highly recommend!

We ate at Caminetto and enjoyed both the food and the excellent service from Cool Kol and the other staff members. Greek salad & bruschetta were very fresh and delicious. My pizza was great (Napolitan with extra mushrooms) & I disagree with a previous reviewer who mentioned supermarket pizzas. My pizza was freshly made and delicious. It was possibly the... More

the staff were not friendly and welcoming, the food tasted appalling and was also served to me cold and bland, Although there was one staff member who was nice and professional, after telling him the issues with the evening he took the meal price off of the bill which I am very grateful for but But I would not recommend... We needed lunch while looking round the Rocks street market on a Saturday. We have visited other restaurants in the Rocks in the past but this one appealed because it has its own secluded outside eating area with plenty of tables, set back from the street market. The eating area actually ends up against the rock face! It is an... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
