Food is fine especially if you choose classics like Pizza and Pasta. Good portion size as well. Service was not so good, not asked if wanted a drink and waiter did not know what specials were or what they came with. Disappointing

We stopped in for dinner tonight & we were extremely underwhelmed. The service was average, the food was bland and overall the experience was poor. Was a disappointing end to a good day. Would not return.

We sat outside in the courtyard, with huge heaters warming the area. Started with Brushetta which was tasty and fresh. I had a Marinara main, which I really enjoyed. It contained a generous serve of mussels, prawns and calamari. Friend had ravioli, she found it tasty too. Thought it was pretty good value for around $60.00 for the two of... More

Have been there 4 times previous and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Went back last weekend and disappointed . First time we had used a discount coupon and as such were given a different menu, although it did not state when we purchased the voucher that we would be given a different menu, then what was supplied on the menu tab... Great location and pleasant facility. Sadly the food was very lacking. Pasta was doughy and the sauces really tasted like they came from a jar. The music was loud and obnoxious and overall the experience really didn't measure up. This restaurant is in a great location. It should be superb. It was the opposite.

While traveling in Sydney recently, we headed to The Rocks. Not in any kind of hurry we spied Caminetto and decided to order coffees. We were seated then waited, waited some more and a little longer. Finally one of the three servers on duty asked if anyone had taken our order. Happy to finally be asked we placed our order.... More

Dining out on our first night in Sydney and staying at a nearby hotel. We wanted something quick and uncomplicated and with 2 kids, this fit the bill. The food was great, but the service was even better. The location and atmosphere was impressive. Too much chilli in my mussels would be my only criticism. Serving sizes were good.

Friendly service. Pizza is average. It was a rainy day and we were craving some pizza and Caminetto was fine for that purpose. I wouldn't suggest that it's fine Italian by any means but it's ok.

Our meal was quite satisfactory, not out of this world but quite pleasing. The service was exemplary though and our meals arrived promptly and with a smile.

Came here on a Saturday night during the Vivid Fest. The first thing I noticed was a bug in the salt shaker to which I notified a sprightly chap furiously rearranging the table utensils. He looked at me like I was suffering from leprosy and left the dining room. Shortly a woman who seemed upset came and replaced the salt... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
