We had a team lunch here and while a few extra people showed up who had not RSVPed, they were nice enough to accommodate us by adding extra chairs to our group table. Most people were happy with the lunch they ordered, and myself and a colleague were surprised by the chicken pie we got. Based on the description we... More

Had breakfast here twice, reasonably priced, good food and excellent coffee. I will definitely go back here, it's hard to find a good, sit-down cafe for breakfast in the city - this is a good one.

Had breakfast here late one morning. The place was still crowded though with lots of office workers having sit down or takeaway coffee. We had bacon and egg rolls ($8.50) with a pot of tea ($4.80) and a glass of juice ($5.50). There was ample staff and the food arrived quickly. The only downside was that the milk jug that... More

Visited today for lunch. Spoke to the helpful waitress around GF availability and decided to give it a whirl. We ordered the pulled beef sandwich of the day with 1 fries and 1 salad. After a shirt while our waitress returned with the disappointing news that there were no sandwiches. No problem I took the burger whilst my wife had... More

Stopped in for a couple of breakfasts here. Dont be deceived by the menu out the front - which is mostly take away - go inside and sit down for the full menu. Nice open cafe with the friendliest service I have experienced in a long, long time. Food was great and the coffee was good as well.

Everything is delicious here - they make the best muffins I've ever had - special mention to the banana cinnamon and ricotta muffin they sometimes bake. Still warm from the oven it's the thing of dreams! They also make a fantastic veggie burger.

Being in Sydney for work I popped across the road from the Sofitel and on one morning enjoyed poached eggs on toasted turkish bread plus a pot of earl grey tea, then the next morning had a generous serve of bircher muesli. Great spot. Good service and well priced.

Avenue on chifley's bacon and egg roll is very delicious. A really nice place to have a breakfast or brunch while watching the activities around it.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
