Seems people have had mixed views about this restaurant. We had a very pleasant evening, staff were attentive, not pushy. The chefs suggestion of pan fried king prawn with chillies and black rice was simply delicious. My wife had a Salmon dish, both our portions were very big but tasty. Yes,a little expensive, but worth it

We stopped here to eat after a show at the Opera house. We got there late, around 10:30pm and they were closing at 11:30. We were rushed to place our order. They were ready to be take our dinner order right after the drink order. And all the drinks and the food came at the same time. We felt very... More

The worst place you can go to in Sydney , waiters are throwing your food on the table like you wouldn't even do with a dog , no respect for the customers and price quality/cannot be justified , I would strongly advise you to go to McDonald's, at least you know what you're paying for and there people are smiling... This was our last dinner in Sydney so we chose a memorable location next to the Sydney Opera House. As it turns out Crowded House was playing so it was very busy. Although this is a very touristy area I must say the service was excellent with plenty of help and recommendations for food selection and with some good humour... More

7 colleagues had lunch here. We tried the (very good) crocodile with ginger and garlic, the kangaroo and the wasabi steak. All the food was good. Service was fine. Flies annoying.

Seeking to eat something which was light and simple, following a visit to the cinema, my friend and I decided to eat at the adjacent restaurant. We ordered the short and long soup which most Chinese cafes can do at the "drop of a hat" as it's basic home-style Chinese cooking. Our soup was the worse that I have experienced... More

Looking at the menu online beforehand for The East I had the impression it would be in the upper tiers of quality. Unfortunately not the case, as the general quality of food and presentation of my own meal and others with me was decidedly just average. I had the Salt and Pepper Squid which was cooked well at least, but... More

Food is great, not too oily, expensive at $50+ per person but their service is superb. The staff suggested what to order, they were very attentive.

I've eaten out a fair bit and this was something to behold in the terrible stakes. Ordered a beer which was warm. Spring rolls were like Chico rolls without the taste. Salt and pepper squid was simply inedible, chewey and tasteless. The chicken (if that's what it was) and cashew nut was oily with vegetables which were also taste free.... More
