Nice Vegetarian Dinner Buffet. Good food,Good Service and descent ambiance. Perfect for vegetarian's. Staff is attentive, food is fresh and replenished at regular intervals.Price is approx AUD 26/- which I feel is value considering the number of dishes available.Dhal Soup ,Cauliflower Pakodas and Kofta are great. If Kofta has little more Gravy,it would be nice.I wish they had free WiFi as... I never thought I would find a place like this! It is a quite different experience for me. Dinner and movie all at the same place. The food was yummy and not very spicy, which I prefer. The movies were current ones and the cinema had comfy seats where you can lay down and relax your legs. The price was... More

Went to dinner and movie night deal, the food was average at best not much not much flavour at all, the price was only for the food no drinks or sweets. There are so many places that have great tasting veg food for better prices so will not be going again. Very disappointed!!

The food was varied, tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant was noisy. Getting in and out is slow and difficult with people lining up to get in and others lining up to pay and leave. If you are going to a movie you then have to line up on the stairs and wait for the doors to open. The good food... More

The staff are really friendly and helpful, the food is nice but nothing out of this world and when you go to pay if there is others paying it can get a bit tight having to shuffle around other tables etc. The cinema is nice and comfy although the queuing system is a bit awkward as we had to queue... I have been to the Govinda's for a dinner and movie. I absolutely loved the food, specially the baked potato and cauliflower curry, for drink I ordered a mango lassi and as well as the food it was delicious. For me the buffet were just perfect with lots of options, most were vegetarian but there were vegan as well. There... More

Dinner & a movie combo deal is a good value night out. Plenty of dishes to choose from the buffet & the food is hot instead of luke warm, a common challenge with buffets. Really enjoyed being able to stretch my legs out on the comfy lounges, I'm always a fidget in a cinema chair. And there isn't the usual... More

We are here on two of our three nights in Sydney because it was convenient to our hotel, pretty good food, kind of a fun place to eat and definitely a good value. If you are only looking for Indian food and excellent Indian food is your priority, this isn't for you. The food is good but not great. But... More

My boyfriend and I come here a lot, he isn't vegetarian but he loves it as much as I do. There's a good variety of dishes here, and each one has great flavours, textures, and it all looks and tastes fresh. The dishes sometimes vary slightly but mainly feature 2 x curries, 2 x rice, soup, 3 x salads, potato... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
