I make sure to pop into this lovely place every time I stay overnight in Sydney. The atmosphere, the spirituality, the staff, and the amazing cinema add on to the delicious variety of food on offer. There's always something new to sample. I urge you to step inside and be spellbound yourself.

This is my third trip here and it never fails to satisfy. There is an all-you can eat buffet which, although not large, offers a good range of hot and cold, entrée, mains, sides and sauces. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. The lentil pie was delicious, and I have never seen deep-fried cauliflower before (but I... More

We were gifted two passes for the dinner & movie experience. We booked ahead to secure times. As it was City to Surf that day we decided to train it there which was the best idea since it was about 5 minutes from Kings Cross train station. It didn't look like much from the outside, but as we climbed the... More

A slightly different take on a dinner and a movie - a delicious vegetarian buffet Indian meal and a cosy, small cinema experience. I came across Govindas almost by accident as I was looking for something different to do for a 'date night'. And we weren't disappointed. The meal was really tasty, the service was great, and the movie experience... More

Walking past you wouldn't realise what is hidden behind those doors. Go in, because you're in for a real treat. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is delicious. There are so many choices and our various dishes, which we chose, were so nice. It serves only vegetarian food. After eating, if you so choose, you can go... More

Nice Vegetarian Dinner Buffet. Good food,Good Service and descent ambiance. Perfect for vegetarian's. Staff is attentive, food is fresh and replenished at regular intervals.Price is approx AUD 26/- which I feel is value considering the number of dishes available.Dhal Soup ,Cauliflower Pakodas and Kofta are great. If Kofta has little more Gravy,it would be nice.I wish they had free WiFi as... I never thought I would find a place like this! It is a quite different experience for me. Dinner and movie all at the same place. The food was yummy and not very spicy, which I prefer. The movies were current ones and the cinema had comfy seats where you can lay down and relax your legs. The price was... More

Went to dinner and movie night deal, the food was average at best not much not much flavour at all, the price was only for the food no drinks or sweets. There are so many places that have great tasting veg food for better prices so will not be going again. Very disappointed!!

The food was varied, tasty and enjoyable. The restaurant was noisy. Getting in and out is slow and difficult with people lining up to get in and others lining up to pay and leave. If you are going to a movie you then have to line up on the stairs and wait for the doors to open. The good food... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighborhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
