Excellent and well presented food with outstanding wait staff. Highly recommend to try the traditional pizzas and pasta on offer.

The restaurant is set in a cellar in small pedestrian street off Georges Street, near to Martin Place. So the location is perfect for business meetings. I visited the place on a cold winter day which was good opportunity to venture in some solid Italian food. The pasta dish which I received was huge and real good comfort food. So... More

I organised a farewell work lunch at La Bora based solely on Tripadvisor reviews and wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent. Very tasty and good hearty portions. We had 12 people and everyone was impressed. Vincenzo the owner was lovely providing great personalised service. He even threw in a free dessert and lemonchello shot for our staff member who was... I've been here several times over the past two years and loved every visit, not to mention the amazing food. This evening my friend and I went in and enjoyed our wines, starters, mains & dessert. The food is always good, no doubt. However at the end of the night I handed my card over and asked the owner of the... More

An Italian restaurant in the city could be considered as just another pasta joint but La Bora provides above average meals with attentive staff. Have only visited a few times but on every occasion food and service is of a high standard. Only positive comments come to mind.

Good go lunch in particular, there is a good selection of classic Italian food. I had the spaghetti marinara, which was excellent. I'm told the pizza are great too.

This restaurant is a rarity to find these days.....Good old fashioned Italian food right near Martin Place Serving sizes are great. The restaurant also serve Pizzas which look delicious although haven't tried it yet. Staff are friendly. The only feedback that I have for this restaurant is that you feel a little rushed to order even during quiet times when... More

The best no frills restaurant in Sydney. The food is absolutely fantastic the service is amazing especially that the owner is always there. Being underground it's not very flash location but you're certainly paying for great value meal. The wine menu is also well above expectations

In Sydney for a few days before travelling back to the UK and we have eaten dinner there for the past 2 evenings and the quality and service is second to none. They have an excellent choice of Italian dishes on the menu and also have special dinner choice as well. It's well worth a visit.

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
