Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here recently with a group of 9 ladies. The waiter did get a little confused with all our orders (some were doing wine, others tea) but overall it was very lovely. The price was a little high to include just one glass of champagne ($50) but the food was plentiful and delicious. I was even allowed... More

On our previous visit to Sydney we visited the QVB but did not have time for afternoon tea. So on our recent visit it was on our list. We visited on a rainy day; excellent welcome and shown to our elegant table. Service was excellent and the afternoon tea was delicious. The only downside was that it was very quiet... More

Expectations of a high class venue went plummeting down - poor service, poor seating, disasterious experience. They couldn't even be bothered to set a place for my granddaughter ... Had a chat with management afterwards only to be met with complete indifference to our feedback.

Sam the manager made us feel welcome from the first point of contact. He was kind and professional in his work. He really made the experience that little bit more special. For the price of $50 each for sparkling high tea it is pretty good value. My partner couldnt eat all his cakes so the friendly and attentive staff member... More

I am always in search of the perfect high tea. I visit The Tearoom each year hoping they have improved but unfortunately they have not. Don't get me wrong this is a good solid high tea. The location is superb, the food is always good, the quantity of food is excellent. I like that they offer complimentary additional sandwiches which... More

Took my significant other at 1pm on a Tuesday - bums in seats with a pleasant atmosphere. Extremely pleasant staff providing prompt service in a clean + elegant ballroom. Food is beautifully presented and fills you up more than you expect - BUT wow, if you aren't a big sugar eater, these tiny little delicious delicacies will hit you like... More

My friend and I went to The Tearoom at QVB recently for a treat while on a shopping trip to Sydney. It wasn't very busy the day we went, but I booked anyway as some on here suggested it was a good idea. We had the morning tea at about 10.30. I had a glass of the Australian Sparkling wine... More

A group of 24 had a superb lunch, the organisation was wonderful and Maria and the excellent staff took great care of us. An elegant venue in what must be one of the most beautiful rooms in the city. Equally fabulous for morning tea or a sumptuous high tea.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
