Booked high tea for my Mum and Nan with me for a Mothers's Day gift. It was a lovely morning. I booked in for 10.30am and we were there for about 2 hours. To access you need to go to the top floor of the QVB and then walk up the stairs to get to the tea room. The lift... More

I was lucky to receive a visit for one of my 50th gifts. The staff were lovely and friendly. We were offered to sit at either individual dining chairs around a low round table or a square table with chairs. We chose the dining chairs. It was a very large elegant white/gold ceiling with chandeliers room/hall. Were were given a... More

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Tea Room in April 2016, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. So it was only fitting that we went back to celebrate our first wedding anniversary! We both ordered the sparkling afternoon tea, and it was delightful. There is so much food on offer for a high tea, so... More

The Queen Victoria Building was refurbished (fortunately, as it had been marked for demolition). Lots of lovely stores, many name brands. The Tearoom is on the 3rd floor and reservations are a must. There is a wonderful choice of teas and the menu includes champagne for a little extra. They cater to those with allergies. The sandwiches, cakes, macarons were... More

From the moment we arrived we felt we were in a special place. The room has been tastefully decorated keeping old features. The chandeliers were impressive and it was lovely to use beautiful crockery. The service was good, no waiting, but at the same time we were left to enjoy the experience and each other's company. The food was beautifully... More

Very nice classic, old English style high tea in a unique location in Sydney CBD. We reserved beforehand via our hotel, probably a smart thing to as we were told it can get busy.

Best 'High Tea' experience so far. After reading reviews, we decided to give it a go. We were happily surprised with everything. Food was truly delicious, fresh and different (I want the recipe for quiche, yum). Scones and desserts were amazing. Service very high standard and decor was so elegant. Everything was so perfect that we were organising our next... More

We hadn't been for High Tea her for a while so I took mum for a thank you gift for all her help with my new bub. We were really impressed with the service. Staff were attentive on arrival assisting with getting the pram up the two steps and navigating the way to our table situated near the bathroom with... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
