I used to go to this restaurant in my twenties when I lived in the inner city of Sydney. Recently returned with my family prior to going to a Sydney Swans match. We were greeted so warmly and then served the most tasty food. The peppers and olives as a starter are great. We had a banquet for two and... More

Great Lebanese food, friendly and efficient service. Love the cinnamon tea to finish. Will definitely be back next time in Sydney.

Terrible experience at lunch time, no atmosphere and very expensive. Customer service was appalling, I basically asked if the meat served at this restaurant was Halal. A standard question at all kebab stores and also one that's required for me, as a Muslim. In response, the man serving me replied, "Why would it be halal, what makes you think our... More

We've been eating at this fabulous restaurant for at least 26 years now and always come away happy. Michael, the owner and chef, and his nephew Mark are such hospitable hosts we always feel like we are being welcomed into their home. The food is beautifully fresh and abundant, real home cooked Lebanese that leaves you craving for more but... More

I have been going to the prophet for some time and thought it was about time I did a review... one of my top favourites. The food is excellent and very well priced I particularly like the spinach pie and as a bonus you can buy one to take home perfectly packed ready for the oven pastry being uncooked so... More

Simple unfussy Lebanese food . The garlic chicken was outstanding as was each of the other dishes we tried. Fast and friendly service, grab a bottle at the pub across the road. If you like Lebanese food try it it's great .

Have been going to the Prophet for years with my wife for great family style Lebanese food. This time had a table for 8 so we had the banquet as it is a substantial meal perfect for sharing. No problems in changing out a couple of dishes for favorites such as fried cauliflower or adding in the green beans with... More

My husband and I enjoy Lebanese food and came to The Prophet after reading the good reviews. We both had the mixed plate, we were both disappointed. I don't understand the 4 and 5 star reviews...I feel misled by them.

I went here for my birthday with my partner. We both ordered the mixed plate at $23, one meat, one vege. It came with a mixture of different dishes off the menu and was so filling!! The Baba Gounage was amazing!!! For $23 I was so full I couldn't even bring myself to have a baklava after, even though I... More

Came across this place by accident and can say the food is outstanding, both in terms of quality and value. Throw in friendly helpful staff and you can't go wrong.
