Ordered a Nasi Goreng and was pretty disgusting. Very surprised at how quick it came out. Was pre-cooked, the meat (chicken) was all stringy and dried. Had the combination with the prawns and the prawns was barely cooked what just got added into the pre-cooked Nasi Goreng and reheated in the Microwave style. The taste was no good and was... More

Baba Laksa is the rare find authentic Malaysian restaurant located inside the Sydney 4 star Grace Hotel. 3 reasons I highly recommend it to the foodies especially those who are allergic or sensitive to MSG, like me: 1. its authentic traditional Malaysian home cooking style, 2. delicious food without compromised by monosodium L-glutamate (MSG- a common favouring enhancer used in... Their Laksa is so ordinary. I gave them a second chance, went back and ordered Nasi Goreng. I have never had a bad Nasi Goreng in Sydney. I am easy to please when it comes to Asian food. This was so bad. Its just rice tossed in oil, Soy sauce and frozen veggies. That is home made fried rice, not... More

Went there for lunch and was blown away by the crowd there. Laksa was reasonably priced and portion was big too. Definitely a good place to visit whenever there is craving.

Very good value. Perfect for a quick and tasty lunch. Our plates were huge and the food was well prepared , and more importantly value for money. Would go back.

Foodies beware - this is one very hard to find restaurant. Getting there on first attempt is extremely frustrating, even confusing, but it appears that most are brought here by someone in-the-know. Here, they have all the classics. We sampled their Chicken rice, CKT and Nasi goreng. Deliciously filling and oh so authentic. In my mind, this place lives up... More

Very helpful staff and a good selection of food to select from. A small venue for a fast stop and go place you could not do any better. A few small table and no rush, could eat and watch the city wake-up.

I went to Baba Laksa House with a friend for lunch. He ordered the beef rendang and I ordered the nasi lemak. The rendang arrived very promptly and looked quite decent. The nasi lemak though, was very disappointing. It was really more chicken curry than anything else. There was a tiny quantity of ikan bilis, some bits and pieces of... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
