As a small party of 7 friends/family we bought a Scoopon deal to visit this restaurant. We were not disappointed. We had great food, wine, views and service here. The waiters didn't rush us. We enjoyed a Shared Starter of Crunchy Sourdough Bread with Condiments, Crisp Italian Salad, Antipasto Platter to start with. Then we picked a main from the... More

We purchased a voucher from scoopon and were surprised at the service, quantity and quality of the food. A very pleasant meal with a delightful view. Our waiter was humorous and efficient. We will return.

Although we were on a Groupon (at about half price) we were treated the same as others with a good position and the service was with a smile and a joke by a very pleasant young waiter. The food was lovely as described and we thought the long trip in and home was worth it. Their olives were beautiful. Black... More

My Family and I bought a deal through Cudo.com for lunch at the Waterfront Circular Quay. Sometimes when you buy these discounted deals you don't really get the service that you would normally get if paying full price. This was definitely NOT the case with the Waterfront Restaurant last Saturday afternoon! We shared an amazing meal with far too much... More

It was a great lunch experience, the food and service was excellent and the people watching is the best. The highlight was the local Tall Ship coming in to pick up new passengers. Very relaxing and highly recommendable.

I came here for the view and boy did Waterfront deliver. It was a beautiful evening in late December. We really were surprised on how much we enjoyed the food. We had the Chateaubriand for two and it was very delicious. I recommend it and would love to go back just to eat this again. The cocktails and appetizers were... More

I had good memories of dining here many years ago. The location is still excellent however I was disappointed in the meals that were average pub grub and twice the price. Sadly we did not have a voucher. The wait staff whilst not rude were devoid of personality and tables placed so close together that you could hear the conversations... More

My friend and I purchased a 'deal' from Groupon and booked for lunch. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly and after requesting some ice in a glass for our drinks, was straight back with a new one when that one was empty. The food was faultless as was our view. While the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, being a Wednesday... More

An unexpected stopover gave us this wonderful night out. We had an amazing view of the Opera House and a seafood platter that could feed an army. Our lovely waiter was versatile and quick witted. Prices may seem high but it's well worth it. Add some bubbles and it's a great time. We had the added bonus of seeing the... More

This is a great location to have a meal while the Vivid festival is on, with a brilliant view of the Opera House with its fabulous light display. Don't expect an intimate dining experience, it has seating for hundreds of people and it can feel like it. Service was good, although staff sometimes had a challenge to squeeze between the... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
