Like all restaurants of this ilk have of the visit is about the experience. This is a lovely restaurant in a great location at the Rocks beside the Shangri-La hotel. Very nice food cooked by a wonderful chef with a great sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyed our night.

It was a birthday dinner. We purchased dinner vouchers for 5 people, the total we spent over $400 but it was a terrible experience. The photos they had on the website was deceptive, all items came out in small portion but the worst was the quality. The Beef Tataki only had 3 pieces and were thick and tough, the Wagyu... More

The photo they have for what ever you may have is false so you have to read the menu and only 3 things were on the photo . I would not come back again . Big A for average!

I have been here many times before and have always had a great experience. Last night was awful. Mains and entrees were served in one go for the adults and kids had to wait for their steaks last. There was no space for the food that was all there within 30 min and the waitresses kept trying to take the... More

Lovely food, incredibly disorganised. Not enough wait staff & the barman was too busy to make pre dinner cocktails! Not worth the wait

We went here for a Mother's Day dinner, took an expensive uber ride to get there. And are made 40 minutes to wait for an 8.30 Session that never happened. We left sometime after 9pm. Many other guests were complaining as well. Appalling and would not return, not very surprised after the awful experience I had at Kobe Jones on... More

Certainly not cheap but you definitely wont leave hungry and seeing the food cooked in front of you is lovely. This is the second time we have been and will be back next time we are in Sydney.

The restaurant is a converted, ample sized house in The Rocks. We had drinks before the meal in what would have been the living room in a previous life, before being seated at our table. We watched the chef cooking at the other table whilst we waited for the other guests to arrive. Most clientelle was japanese, always a good... More

Me and my boyfriend had decided to look for a Japanese restaurant for our anniversary dinner which we shouldn't chose the voucher meal but for some reason we ended up buying the 11 course meal vouchers. Booked at 8pm and waited 20mins for another pair of couples to arrive then the chef came to cook. Only 5 courses out of... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
